Stuart have you ever read the Gotrek and Felix books? Gotrek is a Slayer and Felix a human poet/bard. One of the funniest scenes (I think) was when they were on a road once. Gotrek wanted to stop for the night, Felix wanted to sleep in a proper bed and push on to an inn in a few miles. Gotrek said Felix was a soft human: Felix: There'll be beer at the inn. Gotrek: Good point. They spent the night at the inn *LOL*

Excellent work as always! I think a slight red-purple glaze on the nose is my favourite painting trick ever; it always looks great on everything from goblins to giants!

Loved this. Full of nostalgia for me. I remember having this model, but had to wait 2 weeks to get the super glue to put him together. I didnt have many colours either, he looked a mess. But he was my mess and i loved him! Gave him a name and everything, haha. Great tutorial, really well done. Thanks for the memory trip!

@@MiniatureRealms My dad told me he could get the glue for free from work, but had to wait for its delivery. I called him Daddy Kong. After my father who bought the model, and king kong, whom 12 year old me absolutely adored! Oh to be young again.

Thank you. 🙂 I’m at a point where I need/want to add another range, but they’re all pretty close to each other these days, so it’s very easy to find a close match in whatever range you have.

Looks great, that mate. I don't think I've ever owned one either, but I certainly remember pouring over White Dwarf and the pictures of them and the Slayers. Really enjoyed my first game of TOW, may have to get hold of one if/when they go up on made to order.

1500 points, Highelves in to Bretonnians. Close game, more even than I thought it would be, was expecting to get a bit of a battering. Really enjoyed it, felt a bit like being home😂

Excellent detailed tutorial. I'll have to keep an eye out for those new paints you have used. You have a very good eye for paint colour choice and I like cherry picking those recommendations to achieve similar results or to slightly modify them. I'm seriously going to consider buying one of these when it does become available. I have a nicely painted one that I bought on eBay years ago, but it would be fun to give painting one a go (I wouldn't strip my existing one as it is already nicely painted even if not by myself). It certainly wouldn't kill me to own two of them either lol.

I think objectively based on the sculpts alone I agree, the older sculpts have a different character and style, definitely a lot of nostalgia in there for me.
