getting more and more strict if get caught taking your 45 hour break in the truck. only the 24 hour can be done that way. 45 its hotel or a tinder match lol ;)

Haaha some countries not a problem yet. But like I said, understand why they want it. But it's different in my situation as an owner and someone who likes to drive you know. But will see. Tinder 4 life

I sometimes go over the Rockies to Vancouver or Washington State during winter. We’ve similar rules for tyre chains as Norway.

Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦! Really enjoy your videos. I own a VNL Volvo. I drive in Canada and the USA. Winter driving is yuk! When it’s winter in Norway, is it law to carry chains on the truck?

+David Warren yes, we've to carry 2 snowchains and 2 icechains for the driving axle, 2 snowchains for the trailer and 1 for steering axle. Then also everything on winter tyres.

One thing you might consider in slippery, icy uphills is to lift one of your trailer axles (can' do that on all trailers) and put a snow chain thereon before the hill starts. That way you will never go backwards If you get in trouble - just let the axle down. Worked great for me in the bad old days... BTW - is your boggie a tandem?

You mean you cannot lift the front axle on your trailer triple? That was common in my days, i.e. up to the late -90s. You could also do the same on the main lift axle on your tractor, but that is not always a good idea (harder to steer in curved, steep hills). If you then have to lower the lift axle in order to steer, the snow-chain will increase rolling resistance etc, making more problems if the grip is marginal. Still prevents going backwards, though...

Well, ETS is fun and you can learn some basics, but it won't teach you how to drive a truck in real life ;-)

Ay up. Russ from Hillam near Leeds YORKSHIRE.UK. which truck Nav do you prefer. SNOOPER OT TOM TOM. I prefer the snooper it's easier to set up. Plus it's got digital TV. Which is handy on weekends off. Drive safe. Russ

Is dit na dat je truck groen was?????, of voor., er na dus,. jonghu schepen bevoorraden doen wij elke dag hier,. driver plus representative in 1,. vaak lekker mee eten aan boord,., vooral met Philippijnen is het vaak gezellig,., niet met Turken, India crew, Chinezen of uit Zuid Korea, Russen, Ukraine rs, etc.
