These are dope pieces. You can definitely feel the low in your chest but the mid and highs are so smooth yet exciting.

Malo, I run my MPC through the black lion audio Mklll mic preamp. That thing is awesome. Fat low end. It’s jam packed with capacitors and a transformer on the way out. That sends audio through my big noise radio transformer box and then to my ssl 12 interface. Adding a preamp definitely will enhance the sonics

Oh man !!!! This sounds like a killer signal chain. I myself have been exploring a few different pieces as of lately and definitely adds an awesome touch to the overall mix. The tone button is equivalent to what you'll find labeled "LO-Z" on other gear. Oversimplified it's the opposite of "HI-Z" (essentially instrument DI) which is labeled "INSTR"on this unit. Z refers to the impedance load, which when lowered generally makes frequency response less flat and rolls off some high end

Nice... been using analog gear for years. Imo just leaving the settings flat can be just as great sometimes. I have a UA 4710... some API eqs and sometimes for secret sauce I bounce a mix (or just drums) out to tape and back.

8:00 You could try to remove the knob and put a small rubber o-ring behind it and push the knob in while screwing the set screw. This might add some friction to the knob. HTH

Saturating is spelled with no double T, no big deal, easy mistake to make. Loved the comparison with the Warm audio components! I have always been curious about the company. Love it!

Thanks for this video. It's hard for me to hear difference. Bass seems louder, the sounds higher, but it's subtle, as you said. I'm not sure tou hear the difference. Maube it's me seeing MPC then WARMAUDIO and I 'm convinced to hear a difference. :^))) I need to train my ears. Take care. I think for me, as a beginner, i don't need so precise gear. I've to become more efficient with my MPC first, there's so many parameters which you can play inside.

The Warm Audio WA273-EQ looks and sounds like a stellar preamp/eq, but the weak knobs is a bit concerning. Especially considering that the unit costs $1600..

Exactly, I’ve had it for a while now and it’s a bit frustrating to have the knob so flimsy so when I want to match both of the EQs it can tend to be a bit challenging from time to time.
