When you buy a New Bright its for two reasons. 1) For a New Person to the Hobby or 2) to buy it for the Scale Body for another RC :)

New bright sucks. I used to work for Radioshack, and when they signed a contract with NB and started carrying their Rc cars, we constantly had Rc cars get returned. Then eventually people stopped buying them due to Radioshack refusing to return products unless you could prove it was defective.

I don't know why discount stores continue to sell this New Bright stuff.

New Bright is Walmart junk, and always has been. I bought my daughter a New Bright P/T Cruiser for Christmas 15 years ago, that was about the size of that truck. To her, at the time, it was HUGE. She destroyed it in less than a week. I found the same thing at an after Christmas sale a couple weeks later for a lot less. I bought it. I still have it, in brand new condition, sitting on my dresser. I never really drove it, I bought it mostly to look at.

My favorite cheap rc cost $55 it’s called the urban renegade and it’s one of the best entry RCs, it has a brushless motor and a decent battery, 2wd and it’s decently fast

Whatever you do keep the receipt. Toys r us have 90 days return. Hook up a 3s or 4s lipo and give a blast just don't go forward and then reverse immediately or else you will blow the transistors quicker. Once it starts to smell you know the end is near but you should get a 3-5mins of burnout lol. Take it back to the store.

I had a New Bright Hopper buggy a couple years ago, total waste of a 100 bucks! Two miles an hour on a full charge. It ran on the 12.8v lithium battery with a 540 size motor. For a motor that size, you need a higher capacity battery, at least 2000mah.

ye I had new bright back in the day. straight trash. kept breaking the plastic rims because they were so thin and cheap. that was over 10 years ago so safe to say things haven't changed much.

I saw in a Christmas Magazine a very cool car and I had never heard of New Bright before and it was 50 euros so I thought it has to be good and when I got it I was surprised by the weight as well and when I actually drove it I thought to myself it sucks but I said just to be grateful it's pretty good

I bough for my kids very similar from ToysRus in UK for £60. I bought 2 pcs. I couldn't return 1 as it was opened but the other one returned and got for £65 the Survivor MT which is WAY more better. Not from ToysRus. Is a CRAP the one you reviewed.

The new bright rat buggy has Rubber tires and more speed... for less that half the price... did I mention it looks better? Edit:Btw it's still not good in grass. but OK on dirt and rocks.

You are going to see this on a new bright... I used to own a mud car similar to this one and it sucked. New Bright makes RC cars for more kids and not off roading much. For how much this car costs is to much. You might even save money by buying a traxxas or another type of "good" brand. ;)

New Bright is a horrible company. I bought a F150 RC and i put it in the mud not even thick mud and it gets stuck and the wheels won't even spin. I bought a 60$ military RC abrams tank and i fully submerged it in mud and it kept going

I bought a new bright "speed dragons" *speed* when I puted alkaline batteries as it sayd on the box that shit bearly moved

I got a offroad buggy it's great 300 buck worth it I'll see if I can find what brand its from you should review it the only thing about it I hate the battery last 10 minutes

New Brite has and always will sell nothing but junk. I am sorry that you think $80 is a lot for that but its not considering a real RC truck hobby grade would run you easily well over$300 . if you really want to buy a nice hobby grade truck,get the Dromida series ones. They run about the same price as that at 1/10th scale but they fly! are fun ass hell and are true RC.

Now if you wanted something cool to do you could take the bobcat pro and the two screws holding the motor on undue them then unplug the motor and with this truck unscrew the 2 screws and unplug it and just swap them. You can do an extra thing and swap the receiver boxes to so you can use the bobcat pistol grip controller I thought of this and did it with my bobcat pro and my <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="68">1:8</a> new bright mustang so I can run the pro style controller and 12.8v power getting speeds of 10-13mph

There's tinier versions of this and other New Bright RCs for 20 bucks. If you ever get a New Bright, I won't judge you but don't get the big $80 RCs, get the $20 ones, as they run just as well if not better LOL.
