My wife & I tecently went to Costa Rica. We set up data only eSIM from Airalo on our phones before we left home. We connected as soon as we landed and never had any problems with service. Any thoughts about Airalo or similar services?

I have elderly parents who refuse to use cell phones. Sigh... My Mint plan allows the purchase of 10 days for $20, and includes 10 GB of data and 500 minutes of calls. It's not the cheapest option out there but at $2 a day, it's not horrible.

My mom doesn’t need to worry about charging and updates with a land line so cellphone isn’t necessary. She doesn’t go to many places anymore over 70 as she got older and almost 102 now. We have a high end computer setup for her that will make a gamer drool and iPad to video talk to family and friends,do her puzzles,chess games,communicate with concierge physician,etc.or contact anyone in the family anywhere in the world 24/7 .

Holy moly. Hundred & forty three thousand dollars no thinks to T Mobile . I’d say before going to other countries ect check with your provider to see what they have so you don’t run up a bill . Personally I’d get a burner phone or if you have an unlocked phone you could get a SIM card for it to use.
