3:35 Arcane Robes doesn't turn a crit into a normal hit, it causes it to deal normal damage instead of critical damage. So you can't downgrade it to a normal hit then save it with a normal save. And then 5+ invulnerable save doesn't mean you can crit save on 5+, invulnerable save is a completely different thing that has no effect in this case. So the target should have taken 7 damage, not 3.

3:38 you have to declare which save you are using before you roll. A 5+ invulnerable save isn't a critical save either.

Arcane robes allows a critical to be changed to a normal hit once per turning point

@@Baronvonkickass No it doesn't, it causes a single critical die to inflict normal damage instead of critical damage. Importantly, this means you can't downgrade it and then block it with a normal save.
