Warren Harding is renowned for his big wall first ascents in the Golden Age of Yosemite, as well as his refined sense of the absurd. Between historic (and controversial) FAs like The Nose of El Capitan and The Dawn Wall, Harding presided over epic benders at the Lower Sierra Eating, Drinking and Farcing Society, "founded on the principles of gluttony and sloth.”

If anyone watching this hasn't seen the full length documentary from which this video was taken, I cannot recommend it enough. Valley Uprising is one of the greatest documentaries I've ever had the pleasure of viewing. Even if you know nothing about climbing, you can't help but be riveted by every moment.

This is phenomenally done. Thank you for making it. Can Warren Harding get his own full movie made already? It’s crazy to me there’s no book written on Dean Potter, and there’s no movie made on Warren Harding

Harding was responsible for other classic Yosemite climbs. East Face of the Washington Column (aka Astroman), North Face of The Rostrum, West Face of the Leaning Tower, South Face of Mt. Watkins and of course, El Cap’s Nose, all very popular routes today. He seemed to have an eye for the classic lines….

The attention Harding and Caldwell got passed off Robbina so much he went up and started chopping the Dawn Wall until he realized his folly somewhat and merely repeated it.
