When I hear that opening riff on the radio I get excited. Then often I realize it's Kid Rock's All Summer Long and feel instantly let down. I don't hate the song, but it's no Werewolves.

The very first time I heard All Summer Long I wasn't listening very closely and thought I was listening to Werewolves then I heard "no internet" and I was like "wait a sec"

Watching the great Joe Strummer tapping along with mutual admiration as Warren shows that he was much more than just another singer-songwriter, creates chills. Perhaps, somewhere in this universe, they’re still making music.

This was 2000. Warren did some more TV appearances between 2000 and 2002. This might have been his last UK TV appearance, however.

While I was busy enduring high school, the music up your nose out of the radio was Toto, Kansas, and similar dreck. That shit drove me backwards in my musical explorations to delve in reverse from the Beatles and the Stones to find the work of Dorsey and Johnny Burnette and Slim Harpo. This song, though, alerted me to the possibility that meaningful music might very well exist in the here and now.

Co-written with excellent guitarist Mr. Waddy Wachtel. Am fairly sure, that the first sentence is from Waddy's knowledge of China Town, NY City. This song got best lyrics award in the UK a few years ago. Yes, it is clear Warren deserves to be in The R&*RHall of Fame.

Nobody who looks “normal” like this will ever be given a recording contract again. I’m tired of people telling me I’m too old to understand modern mainstream music. Even in the late 90s, when I was still a teenager, I knew mainstream music was becoming a joke. This is a real song….made by a real human.
