Steve is wrong about Kuminga. His comp is Andrew Wiggins, Zach Lavine, and at best Kawhi Leonard. If you can tell by my list, all these players are wings. Legit small forwards. To get the best of Kuminga, Kerr needs to stop playing him out position. He is a small foward. Period!!!

Steve Kerr saying JK should model his game after Shawn Marion is genius in terms of how useful that play style would be to the Warriors and how much of an advantage he would have at his playing position. That may be his true potential and I definitely see that for him

great analysis. Rarely does someone address Kumingas inability to guard on ball. I think this is going to be a good bounceback year for Wiggins, a small step forward from where Kuminga was last season (which was close to where we needed already). The only thing I disagree with is GP2 as a trade piece. He has been one of the best players alongside SC30 since 2022. He isnt nearly as valuable to the league as he is to lineups with SC. And while this hurts to say this, I think the depth is going to keep Moody from seeing the type of minutes we shouldve seen from him last season. That guy could be a stud somewhere.

i dont think he played kuminga at the 4 strictly for that reason, i think its mostly due to how undersized our roster is, hes one of the tallest players on the team while being the most athletic

like gp2 is weird because he’s more of a guard defensively but more of a big offensively. i also think wings can range from sg-pf bigs from pf-c and guards from pg-sg it’s mostly skill set based ig but yeah i think pf is a wing anyway at the end of the day

GPII isn’t a guard. Ball handling, shooting, playmaking, he provides none of those things. The reason GPII has been a valuable role player for the Warriors vs every other team he’s been on, is because the Warriors don’t try to make him something he’s not. He’s not a gaurd, he’s a 6’2 SF. His lack of guard skills are minimized when he’s used strickly as an off ball play finisher, slasher. I think you’re stuck on his height, but he’s so good defensively his height doesn't really matter. He plays way bigger than his height.

Kerr just said it's Steph and Dray n 3 starting jobs up for grabs. Saidthe 4 young guns and the 3 new signees are to compete for em. Did not mention Wiggins, whom was told to not play in the Olymipcs and is on the trade block. Start Steph, Melton, JK, Dray and TJD. JK at the 3 begins now, year 4. Trade Wiggins mid season after JK proves he is the next Kawhi. A 6'7" 225 lb two-way SF. We level up w him, like OKC n Min did w SGA n Edwards.
