@@WithOneS it's opponents reads 100%. They expect every Valk player to sweep in the beginning. So they dodge in anticipation. Until they feel your flow. Trust me you can't react to sweep if your second attack lands you have hit stun forces your opponent to make the read. Most of the time they will dodge attack. If you throw it out after a blocked heavy it's more reactable but still can catch them. I basically call Valk 3rd attack. Everything is banked on setting up the 3rd hit. Remember throw her opener heavy through more. Because she is so so so vulnerable to gbs because her shield bash is a very huge tool and feinting your heavy swing forces your opponent to react if you feint the heavy swing into all block alot though opponent will make the read and start gb ing. Her bash unlike other heroes can be gb out of. Which in my opinion is why she needed to be able to follow up light after whiffing the bash. So here's what you do land 2 attacks in the beginning then just stop don't throw a heavy nothing see if your opponent dodges to respect the sweep. If they don't, throw a few sweeps make them fear it. After that make your 3rd attack a feinted heavy they will dodge attack. Parry them. If they only dodge throw the heavy through. Once they get used to that feint heavy into all block. if they dodge off the intial heavy feint into all block stance 90% of the time they will dodge again after seeing you in all block stance so cancel all block and gb them bad players will dodge twice and go into dodge attack so be careful when letting the bash fly on bad players.

@@legendarybebop8512 oh, no even I can react to it, even on heavy hitstun or blockstun I can react consistently, but it is definitely quick and I just assume most people can when they probably can’t.

We definitely weren’t constantly clicking buttons but I wouldn’t say either were really STARING, just had some moments of inaction. And yeah that is kinda how the matchup goes lol

It’s not, if he ONLY did the skewer it would be, but since he did a light it was not. You can see my guard appear before it hits.

I think if yo dodge early enough you can get a parry cause I know I’ve parried some.

Of course! I’ve been advocating for that for a while now. Unfortunately, it’ll help but parrying on animation still exists so definitely would still be a problem sometimes. But to answer your question, yes 100%!

@@WithOneS I can also imagine that you lose 1-2 rounds before you realize that your opponent can react (and doesn't make good reads). Then you don't have much choice but to play optimally, which is often criticized by you, ´cause its boring :D

Depends on the character and parry brother, most characters guarantee a light on heavy parry, but punishes vary from character to character. On a successful guard break you get a guaranteed heavy, but certain characters like aramusha only get a guaranteed heavy from a certain direction (I believe aramushas is a top heavy)

@@YaYAbIsCiT I think those are reasonable buffs tbh. Her offense relies too heavily on her bash, which is a 50/50 at best, and only guarantees a light attack after. If she whiffs it gives the opponent a free gb and heavy attack starter.

I understand WHY you'd come to this conclusion, and I've gotten this same response from other commenters in the past. My thing, is I just say whatever comes to mind, and I'm not actually trying to complain, I'm more trying to explain my thought process and it comes off the wrong way due to the tone of my voice, that's something I need to personally work on that I often don't think about when I'm actively playing. It's hard to maintain and consistently say just the right thing, in the right way, every fight while recording and fighting at the same time. So please if you hear this in the future just know that it's really my genuine attempt to 'discuss', or 'reflect', and that I'm not intentionally making it sound that way (obviously I do complain from time to time though, which I also need to work on). Again, no hate here, I can completely understand you seeing it that way, but please try to be patient while I attempt to work on that for the future!

Lol that’s the way of the game at high level! Definitely needs some work, being able to react in this manner just shouldn’t be possible.
