Two things. Wade trade was a mistake. You know that in finals Dwayne would sacrifice himself to win another ring, especially with LBJ. I do not care about the reasons why he was traded. He still had fuel in the tank and he knows how to win in big games. Second thing is that Lebron injured his hand after game 1 of the finals. That affected his game. I saw how he missed multiple easy layups and could not figure out the reason for it. If it was not for the hand i think he was ready to play 48 minutes in every game and average 40+ points just to have a chance. In my opinion if Wade was in Cavs and Lebron was healthy the finals would have more intrigue in them. Not saying that Cleveland could win in 2018 but they could won one or two games.

Look man, MJ is the G.O.A.T in Basketball but despite that, 2018 Lebron is easily the best Basketball Player I’ve ever watched. Looking back, it’s extremely reminiscent of 2019 Messi (the G.O.A.T in Football) in that they both dominated like one man armies, dragged their lacklustre teams as far as they could, were ultimately defeated by juggernauts (Warriors/ Liverpool) but had glimpses of excellence against them (Lebron in Game 1/ Messi in the First Leg). Interestingly, they both also had idiotic teammates (JR/ Dembélé) who scuffed a major opportunity to properly set the tone (it may not have changed anything, but it certainly would’ve helped).

Said it before and I’ll say it again, Jordan maybe the greatest when you factor in influence, globalization of the brand and the iconic shoes. But when it comes purely down to basketball and who’s the better player, it’s LeBron. No arguments whatsoever. Well-rounded game, defied the odds more times than you can think of throughout his career. Even with all the hate, the scrutiny and the pressure.
