If Lot's wife wasn't transformed what happened to her, though? She certainly wasn't with Lot and the daughters when they hid in the cave. Perhaps she was coated by what was falling and had the Pompeii experience?

I admit there is a lot of speculation when it comes to this subject. The Pompeii experience is one of the possibilities - she didn't just look back but hung back and experienced the consequences. This fits into the idea of Jesus teaching that we should know what time it is. Today is the day of salvation. Wait too long and it's the day of judgment. Please pray for those who are lost like Lot's wife.
