The game was at its best before mod16. Apart from huntgate the game was booming and you could actually repeat content without getting bored as much because you were op and actually had diverse builds

The best thing Deca could do is revert all the mod16 changes. The player base would double overnight

i liked to old game more, would of prob never left if the barovia ban wave didnt happen. I liked how most classes had a support build (tac gf, templock, MoF cw, support hr, pally with their powershare and obv clerics with their AC and DO side) Now it feels like if we dont have a bard we are missing out on alot

I didn’t like the changes at all had to switch toons because of it and the tree paragon path was the best because u could make some interesting builds outside the cookie cutter

Just remove scaling again to help new players and give us access to older abilities again or let us combine abilities we have now.

The Ravenloft Ban killed the game. Then they got rid of paragons paths and now everyone has the exact same build. Super boring now. My build on my ranger was super fun now it boring. Rip Combat build. If you want cookie cutter now you have it.

The barovia ban is what killed the player base

I started a couple or so weeks after NW launched on XBox with Mod 4. Whenever changes happened to the game my primary concern was whether varied class builds were viable, or if only one build worked well. But I was most bothered when some of the biggest names told me (in party) that some abilities did work as expected, sometimes having ability points wasted. I suppose every mod could have adjustments. I liked or and post Mod 16, but I most liked the crew I played with, and they all moved on after 16.

No, it was garbage. It took a great game that was rapidly going downhill, put a giant brick on the accelerator and drove it off a cliff. Then they covered it with petrol and took a blow torch to it. {:o:O:}

I left my cleric, my wife left her paladin... it's a different game now. would go back in a heart beat.

Was great for healer mains like me because we actually were healing again 😊 Post mod 16 has its own different set of problems though lol

What a nostalgia :) Imo the best NW time is like m3-4. I abandoned at m13.5, and imo even m13.5 was better then current state :( there where MUCH more flexibility and variations, skill trees, different setups and classes synergies - that all push ppl interest further. And also PVP. I lived pvp so much and I liked balancing and trying different things in both pvp/pve. What we have now is copy&paste dps/heal/tank. That’a all :( no flexibility, no different skill tries. Still playable much way less fun :(

I remember when Paladin came out, we were immortals with that bubble heal protection, that's the craziest thing I've ever seen in this game lol

I like pre mod 16. Because my toons are low level, but i could run support as DO, healock, or MoF cw. Nobody wanted me as dps.

Is that what dropped the level cap cuz since I came back it’s like an entire different game

I like change, things get stale when they stay the same, but the best thing about mod 16 was being able to rip through the campaign in 2 hours.

I agree it saved the game at the time but as you said it got old pretty quickly as a veteran mmo player and a game designer, neverwinter lack quality content with the right loot based dungeon-raid-solo experience.

I think that the developers did not need to change the leveling system, but on the contrary, make it more flexible and with greater variability. Yes, the fact that players killed bosses in 1 phase is bad And something had to be done about it. But what they did to the character as a whole is... Just awful. But in general, the game can still be saved from this terrible state. But this requires a lot of effort and money. Make a new leveling system, a larger skill tree, update old content. It would be great if the new developers held a live broadcast, or at least asked the players on the forum what they should focus on

The people who stayed will say it was necessary and the ones who left were ready to leave anyways, specially after your friends getting banned during huntgate

Agree but only NW 2 can save the game. Complete relaunch with crossplay and a new engine.

Everything pre Chris Whiteside was good. Converting the game to a platformer that you must play with discord was moronic. The player base is non existent. Bis players in their bubble do not realize it. Pre 16 steam charts was 2000+ now 800! Enough said. BTW ARE YOU SAYING ONLY 1 DUNGEON AND HE FOR 4 MOTHS ARE GOOD!

I was actually really happy with the changes as for mod 16. Specifically that they didnt have people get one shot so much so the healers had to actually be good players (tell everyone went pally shield) rather than just exist and give buffs. My favorite time of all in nw was mod 17 and tomm. Love ur stuffs 🥰

Get rid of scaling and will make game more enjoyable

it needed a revamp and m16 and m17 were actually great, ill miss those days forever but I wouldn't wanna go back if that makes sense.
