Ronaldo Nazario is my childhood idol, he is ideal football player for 90's and early 2000, fast, have good skill, and very entertaining, when the ball is in his feet, he always covered by 3 or 4 defenders. Kids love him back then, Feel so sorry his injury ruin his carrier many time, after he get injury at inter against Lazio, i save my money to write letter for him and it adressed to inter Milan office 😄 At least i want to say thank you for him because of him i love to watch and play football 🤝

He didn't have the greatest career because of injuries, but he is without a doubt the best player in football history. A simple way to describe him is.. Remember the cr7 vs Messi debate? CR7 fans said he could use 2 feet, he was better in the air, he's bigger/faster, he dominated different leagues, etc. Messi fans said he's a better dribbler, more gifted, more intelligent, etc. R9 was both of them combined into one. Anyone who saw his peak knows what I'm talking about. The best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.

Ronaldo was so OP that the only person to dethrone Ronaldo, was Ronaldo himself... The man was riddled with injuries and had a thyroid issue which caused him to gain significant weight. He pushed himself to the brink of destroying his body, this is why he is a beast and we are forever grateful to witness such a specimen in this sport. I don't think we'll ever see anyone else like him (...or Ronaldinho) again

I remember watching the 2002 World Cup while on the phone with a friend who wasn't really into football but was just watching along with me and she said saw him playing and said to me "that guy...why can't the other players take the ball away from him?" I said "they're trying trust me they're trying" Lol all the time I'm watching saying to myself damn.... Ronaldo really lacks fitness. 8 goals he scored in that WC and he didn't even play well! Think about that. So vicious was his level before injury that when he scored the hat hattrick at Old Trafford, I was impressed, but not so much because I knew it wasn't the best of him. I spent the entire 2nd half of his career looking for him to hit pre injury level but never did, and never seen another player reach that level of Unstoppableness till this day. Been watching football since 1990.

Tears 😢 man, when you're a boy and you love soccer and here is a kid like you dominating adults and you believed he was going to win the World cup in 1998 for his country and the images of what happened brought Tears like the Brazilians who wept and then he was crippled but he rose from the ashes and I remembered at a press conference: While doctors and everybody said he was not fit and he could not perform but Pele said: "just watch the kid play." And he scored 8 goals. 2 in the final of that world cup. I will tell you I am not Brazilian but I never doubted him for one minute of that world cup. Even against Turkey when everyone around me was saying there would be a penalty shoot out than the miracle shot that slipped past Rustu Rechba. I tell you I was jumping up and down punching my hand in the air telling people: "I told you!" It was like that, no one can equal this guy, left or right, everything happens in the blink of an eye.

There is this surface level view of him by modern fans: “Hmmm.. Good player,but had bad injuries. Could have been better” Not understanding that what he had achieved and proven he could do despite the obstacles he had to overcome was more than enough. He already completed football. Original Ronaldo was a fantastic and most-complete striker of his generation. A nightmare to all defenders. He made it a skill to dribble past goalkeepers. If not for injuries and an earlier than expected retirement, he could have been an indisputable best ever GOAT. Nevertheless, he still got all the necessary titles, awards and medals in his record, including two WC golds. R9 is still a Legend.
