Was William Shakespeare bisexual? Some leading researchers say the evidence points to it being 'undeniable.'
Two of them, Sir Stanley Wells & Paul Edmonson, put together a book called "All the Sonnets of Shakespeare" that lays out Shakespeare's deeply personal collection of sonnets in chronological order for the very first time. The new information is rewriting everything we know about Shakespeare.
It's part of a new series that explores the hidden sexuality of the world's biggest figures in history & pop culture.
If you're queer your history is much longer than you think, full of LGBTQ characters who changed the world, and you deserve to be proud of it.

I love this! It brought up a lot more things that I didn’t know Shakespeare wrote about, which is great cause I grew up in a Christian school where they tried to deny that when Shakespeare wrote about men, it was romantic but instead more of a friendly poem and that always cracked me up because I knew straight men don’t write about their friends like that. Very interesting!

Great discussion, though the idea that Shakespeare did not want his sonnets published is a minority viewpoint. There are many reasons to debate this, but most Shakespeare scholars believe that he DID oversee publication of his sonnets (unlike his plays, the printing of which largely didn't involve him).
