If the 911 guy is a real car guy, he would know that a common Japanese econobox that is in mint condition will attract more people than a common 911 that has many fans arround the world.
@adriangoede74332 жыл бұрын
Stunning. I’ve been a Mitsubishi fan ever since my Dad’s 1988 Dodge Colt. It was absolutely the Timex watch of econo boxes. It just kept going and going. It was of course, the generation after this one but, I remember these as Dodge Colts & Plymouth Champs here in the states. I remember riding in one once in the late 80s. I also remember two oddities about these Mirages. The first was the MCA Jet designation which in my mind was truly unique like Honda’s CVCC stratified charge design. The other was the dual range transmission that effectively had 8 forward speeds. I too found this generation not as easy on the eye as subsequent generations but, I’d definitely take one in a heartbeat today! Thanks, this was a treat.

I just bought a 23 Mitsubishi Mirage Ralliart spec... there is absolutely nothing different about the car except for a couple unique trim pieces and the paint job... its pretty much made for the 40th year of Mitsubishi in North America... but it still looks ridiculous with the decals and mudflaps. I'm gonna put it up on blocks wrapped in bubble wrap for 30/40 years and when I take it out I hope somebody recognizes it the way you did this 1981 version.

Wow intersting find Dan, never knew there was a GT spec in what would have been the RA model Colt in Australia. That is actually an overdrive shifter in the car, the later RB Colt GSR's had them, a friends mother had a mint one with the 4 speed + overdrive gearbox same as the video car. The overdrive works on a similar principle to the Laycock overdrive in Jags and other British cars of the 60's and 70's.
