Adding baking soda to your vinegar prior to using it for cleaning makes both the vinegar and baking soda ineffective because the chemical reaction cancels each other out. After the bubbles are gone you are left with glorified water. Either baking soda or vinegar used separately is much more effective.

I always wash my avocados first before cutting in. I even use a grease cutting dish soap on them, because they’re so oily, and any pesticide that might be on them is probably also oily. Just rinse real good till the peel feels squeaky clean. 🥑 I then cut them into quarters and peel off the hard skins. They seem to come off easier in quarters…Or maybe it’s just that after wash & rinsing in warm water, the skin is easier to release? Idk

The USA legal system has many foundational principles, including “Let the buyer beware” which is an indirect acknowledgement that retailers can legally sell products (other than specifically illegal substances and weapons) that are potentially harmful to health. The one thing that I took comfort in thinking that I didn’t need to wash…
@SomaGirlieАй бұрын
I always wash my avocados. Just for the fact is that they’re suuuuper dirty, all the brown stuff. They probably roll around in some truck and then get dropped on the floor by the store employee. I soak them in slightly warm vinegar water, then rub baking soda on them and rinse.

ya no, farmers dont give a shit how they grow the product. Its to many to count. Instead they depend on your to clean it before you eat it, and they just grow it and make sure it looks up to standards on looks.

Not really. Unless you also think that money is clean. 🤢 Those fruits and veggies have been in contact with who knows what and where and you push that crap right into the food with your knife. Pretty straightforward common sense.

You also need to wash melons. 🍉 They lie in the field and animals come by and do whatever on them. People just don’t think of this. 😮
@qualquiАй бұрын
Plus they probably spray the watermelons with insecticides,I've noticed when I cut a slice, place on my plate,the juice that drips from the slice, onto the rind and then onto the plate isn't clean, it tastes awful like chemical awful! I know wash the watermelon before slicing into it.

I've wondered about this for years knowing that the knife has to be transferring something from the outside into the inside when you cut it. The restaurant I worked at for 6 years never did wash so I thought maybe I was overthinking. Thank you!!!

@@grahamcarmichael6567 How many people do you know that washes their Avocado before eating? No one ever eats the Avocado skin. I wouldn't wash an orange as well if I'm peeling the skin; unless it's physically dirty looking.

@@grahamcarmichael6567 I dont wash every fruit. Do you wash your bananas before peeling them too? I know a lot of people that don't wash their Avacados before cutting. I'm sure it's common as well for others, since Bobby made this video pointing it out.
