Great video. There is not much for good meltables in appliances. Little more in the bigger refrigerators. The aluminum looked like there might have been zinc mixed in the way it was smoking when you were pulling the draws off and the way it did not shrink after cooling. Thank you for the video.

I noticed your pouring area is directly on top of what looks like standing water. Id be more contious of that. One little accidental spill could make things go bad quick ya know.

I didn't think you'd get a huge amount of copper and aluminium out of that washing machine. It would mostly be steel and plastic, with the aluminium being the housing for the electrics, and the copper being the electrics! I did notice a bit of yellow fumes when removing the dross from your aluminium melt indicating the presence of zinc, (that's usually present in brass.) The zinc oxide fumes being toxic.

Yeah I think there was some zinc in the aluminium. If I’m honest I thought I would get more copper out of it than I did. Thank you watching 👍

I could tell there was quite a bit of steel in the washing machine from the rust on some of those parts lol
@meltingipswich

Lot of work for the results. If you are in the UK Ipswich, I have to ask, where the hell did you get the good weather from to be able to cast outside? Over the boarder here in Wales even the sheep are asking for diving gear!!! Great work and thanks for making this video.
