Jedd Fisch, Robert Bala, and the entire Washington Huskies coaching staff convinced the state's top prospect, four-star linebacker Zaydrius Rainey-Sale to stay home and commit to Washington a second time after initially pledging to Kalen DeBoer's staff and backing off after the coach left for Alabama. The Huskies also lost four-star DL Smith Orogbo to the Texas Longhorns, but are still in on a number of talented prospects including Andrew Marsh, Donovan Olugbode, Mata'i Tagoai and even Jerome Myles, and Fisch's coaching staff also has a lot of promising commits who could burn their redshirts in 2025, including Raiden Vines-Bright, Vander Ploog, Baron Naone, Champ Taulealea, and more. For a new head coach, this is very impressive. Let Jed and his staff coach them up. The UW legacy is about championship Defense, even with the last two years of historical offensive production and 7 NFL rookies in 2024.

I understand your comments on this staff not coaching in last years CFP, but isnt UW one of the only schools to go to multple CFPs? Especially since there was different coaching staffs for each trip, doesnt that help as a point that the school is the selling point even when the coaches change?

I do not believe he will start. But it is nice to get a name guy once in awhile whether he turns out to be something or not. Deboer did not give a crud about the local guys here. I have seen too many here players leave here. They probably gave him more money. I do not see much going for loyalty anymore in football or anywhere really. Have to be honest.
