I lived in Western Washington (Puyallup area) and was a home owner there for nearly 3 years. I liked my time immediate area, but the state's politics, cost of living, and weather all pushed me to Arizona.

You're not the only one! There has been a pretty big exodus for all of those reasons. About 75% of my friends have moved to Arizona, Texas, or Idaho in the last few years!

I live in north central WA. HOT summers & wildfires. COLD winters that I hate and some winters have large amounts of snow. Fall and spring are very nice. If the fires are under control the summers are wonderful. I usually have to leave the area for warmer weather after the holidays. February seems to last forever. There are times when the smoke is so bad that I go to my sister's cabin in Long Beach WA. I live on a beautiful pristine lake... I'm not moving despite high property taxes.

I've been in the south sound 25 years. Can't afford to stay. Commuter Traffic is heavy, and costs for everything are quite high. If you're not moving into the Puget Sound area, it might be pleasant. In Puget Sound, you really want multiple six figures of income to enjoy a comfortable life.

3:01 It's the 7% capital gains tax that was recently enacted that's a problem for me.

@@markw999 Actually, there are. I'm paying I think around 150 per paycheck... they just don't CALL it Income tax. But it is.

Looks like a absolutely amazing place expensive but the over abundance of natural resources you not going to find better except few spots in alaska but that's easy access from Washington state so with my massive amounts of looking and with my limited knowledge of computers and recerching I fill iv done a tun of research for me the best place in America 🇺🇸 is Washington state up to alaska the more I looked up Washington state is a Sweet spot over abundance of natural resources fairly reasonable weather yep love the idea
