5 ай бұрынA waste spark coil with one open plug wire can cause a misfire on two cylinders!
Engine did not misfire at idle, only under load which makes it a very difficult problem to pinpoint using conventional methods. (rpm drop tests etc) This is where a lab scope reigns supreme!

When you when U say companion cylinder are you speaking of the one that fires directly after.😜🇦🇺

No, same piston positions. And in this context, they also share the same coil. One fires on compression while the other fires on exhaust. Then 360 degrees later, they flip flop. Hence the name waste spark.

It's a wasted fire ignition firing exhaust on one cylinder while firing compression on another Ford had this I believe @@ScannerDanner

I miss the 3.0 they were bullet proof Except when your teenager throws the diff pin across traffic turning hard left rudder while nailing the gas😂
