I'm glad ppl weren't really going like "ugh what a downer", even that one frowner in chat was only being a pill about making it easy to understand. My own only worry for things like this is that Watame (or any streamer) doesn't overwork herself because she's worried about letting people down, or feels responsible for keeping people going. Different problem obviously, but my grandfather had memory problems near the end of his life, where it would come and go at random. My father told me they'd be mid-conversation, and suddenly my grandfather's memory would just "rewind" to the point he'd think he was 40 years prior and not recognize him at all. Then just as suddenly, he'd pop back into the present. It's easy for us to dismiss memory problems as "So what he's just forgetful it's not like it's cancer" but these kinds of things really do leave people feeling empty and pointless, like their experiences don't matter if they disappear so easily. I do hope バナナお爺さん can find some comfort and salvation in Watame's streams and such, and that they can find this or some other clip of the SC reading to have something to hold onto.

I think it's terribly underrated the role these vtubers, whether they're from Hololive or not, have in other people's lives. Some people mentally suffer immensely, and these vtubers can bring light into their very dark lives. That's why we should appreciate every one of them, and the hard work that they do for us. Because they deserve every bit of it

What really makes Watame special is her seemingly endless reserves of empathy and compassion. That's not a character, that's a genuinely kind and sweet person who really loves the Watamates who come to spend time with her.

I remember back in november last year i was having really² bad day, and i tried to find distraction on youtube and at that time only watame whos streaming, i usually dont often came into her stream but after a few hour listening to her while she's playing Minecraft i already forgot that im having a bad day earlier. Her stream and sora's stream is the place where we can just vibe with them while they're doing their own thing

I remember seeing a video summary of some AMA Reddit thread, where the person was talking about their experiences with this type of disease. I think she was saying that her memory "stopped" several years earlier, and every time she woke up, she had no idea where she was, and had to spend like half a day just rereading a long-ass diary, just to catch up with everything. Every day. Plus, she also got married. _After_ the accident. Imagine going to sleep, then waking up in a different house, with someone you can't recognize, walking around the place and insisting that they're your family. MAN, that's screwed up.

I really really hope that these girls understand that it's enough being themselves that bring us enjoyment and happiness. They don't need to do anything extra or try harder or anything like that. It's enough just being who they are.

I have literally traveled back in time by sequencing clips featuring the emotional story of Hololive. While watching a clip where Suisei cries after the Startend Apex Legend tournament, I found myself watching other clips featuring the departure of Kiryu Coco, including the girls who try to sing while containing their tears to end up here, at Watame and three of really poignant superchats she readed. What an adventure! Watame and the others are really amazing but these stories told by the superchats are just as amazing. Even if everything goes wrong, we’re desperate and we just want to end it, we mustn’t give up because we’re not the only ones going through bad times, we’re all fighting together to get out of life and they, they are there to help us overcome our trials. That’s what this emotional adventure just taught me.
