This is absolutely amazing, I love how all the feathers are equally aligned and overlaid, the most important part of creating or drawing in my case an animal is that it looks exactly like the reference, and this is absolutely spot on

Paint sprayer tip: if you’re painting with a dark color and then are doing a sealant/top coat over it, mix a little bit of your paint in with your sealant before spraying. Otherwise the color might become cloudy or you’ll be able to see streaks of the clear coat. Not an issue for light paint colors though.

Very impressive work. I do a lot of foam carving sculpture and one handy thing I learned was that if you use a home plant water mist sprayer to lightly mist the sprayed foam it will cure faster. This is particularly helpful in climates where there is very low humidity or if your workshop is really hot. Also, if you are planning to inject a lot of foam into a hollow space, spray some water mist into the hollow space first. Then fill the hollow in layers and mist each layer lightly as you go. This prevents the foam from curing solid on the outside but staying wet and uncured in the centre. Love your work.

I love watching your work come to life, but I had a bit of a question! Instead of having to paint those thousands of crown staples, why not purchase the black versions? They have black and hyperblack crown staples that would potentially save a lot of time / effort.

All the work you do brings back old childhood memories. A family member of mine would always be in the garage and the whirring of the machines was a way of knowing he was there. As a kid, I was terrified of the machineries he used and afraid he was going to get hurt. Yet, as I grew older, he let me help him. I loved it and felt right. Sadly, it's been over 2 years since he said his final goodbye. Everytime I go to the garage and work on my own personal projects, I feel him. I'll always be his little girl. I miss him, but I know he's always there.🥺

Using tire material as textured feathers is brilliant! This why I love watching artists. They use such neat things one would never think could be used. Only thing I do is use cans, soap and baking soda boxes as bases and envelope paper as covering. But it’s recycling like you do.

That looks amazing. I used to work at a radio shack. We would take the RC cars outside and play with them. Or sometimes we'd have a return when the customers got bored with them. Either way the tires would be dirty. We would spray pledge furniture polish on them, let it dry and just crumble off and it made them look new again. It might work for you too. Also I used to do spray finishes in a factory and your painting looked pretty good to me. I really enjoy watching you make these.

Outstanding! This is not just craftmanship, but artistry (or should I say "This is not just artistry, it is craftmanship"?). We plebeians do not always realize that extraordinary lengths you must go to--nor the various skills that must come into play--to create something wonderful. I got to thinking that you might be able to hire a neighborhood kid to do a lot of the tire cutting for you. In any case, I am very much impressed. THANK YOU for sharing your gift with the world.

Killer job, again! Paint spray tips, the trigger will engage the air first, then paint second. Takes practice, but you can partially release the trigger, find the paint cut off point, this keeps the air flowing, and will stop drops when you re-engage the paint/trigger. Also, start your first spray pass off to the side of the object, not on it. Cheers
