This keyboard has a ton of potential for the less bougee of keyboard users. This DrunkDeer A75 is an excellent option for those who would love to have a Wooting 60HE but just can't get behind that 60% layout. More cost effective, more available, but definitely comes with it's drawbacks that means this isn't an easy 'get this instead of that' choice.

Yeah DrunkDeer is set to take the performance keyboard scene by storm. I love what Wooting is doing but they are super late to put out a different layout board. Only reasons I haven’t gotten one yet are the wait times and the lack of a 65 or 75% layout board.

@@GekkoTechGaming yeah… that sucks. They’ll have to start being more competitive soon though. I imagine that in the next few months more keyboards like the drunkdeers will be coming out and if wooting doesnt improve in the delivery time at the very least I could see them being destroyed by the alternatives. Still the best keyboard in the market though, so its hard to hate on it too much🤷‍♂️

Gotta love the DrunkDeer name 😅 Similar to myself, I do prefer dedicated arrow keys so I do enjoy a 65% or 75% layout. Awesome review and huge congrats on the 1k subs 🔥

I bought a DrunkDeer A75 last night on amazon for $110. I was going to buy the Wooting, but I did not want to wait that long for it. I've been using the Steelseries Apex pro full sized for the past 30 months and felt that I needed a keyboard that was more of the size of my last one which was a Steelseries M750 TKL, so I went with the DrunkDeer A75!

As much as I respect Wooting for really starting the hall effect and rapid trigger trend, I think DrunkDeer has quite a lot to offer over them just with availability and a more practical layout. I'm literally typing this out on my A75 right now. Hasn't left my desk since review haha. Was able to open it up and mod it a bit, such a HUGE difference after modding. Think I might do a follow up video on the new rapid trigger and modding guide.

I just wanted to ask, with the double actuation point once you passed the bottom one if you press down does it register an imput even if you aren't to the top one yet? And if it does, it's being registered by the lower actuation point or by the upper one (basiccally if it register the press or the passing of the lower actuation point)?

I live far from the USA but which would be best just for fps? I have another silent keyboard to type on. Can I change switches to Gateron Jade or Geonworks and keycaps to PBT. Can you please give me advice for a good keyboard with rapid trigger? i play cs2 a lot and i cant decide. Looking at the apex pro tkl and huntsman v3 pro tkl and this Drunkdeer. I want a TKL so no Wooting 60HE.

Sound WAY better than the razer or steelseries alternatives which are scratchy wobbly garbage imo. Just ordered the pbt version. For $10 CAD more its well worth it.

i got the keyboard, and its great. what i dont like is that i cant use F5 and F6 that keys only does key light brighter. does anyone know if i can set them to standart f5 f6 ?

i bought this one (white color) and it was advertised as "TKL keyboard with magnetic switch that allows rapid trigger" on Amazon. Does this make sense? I heard from Wooting blog that, to implement rapid trigger feature, a keyboard needs to be analog keyboard instead of TKL keyboard. Do I have to return Drunkdeer A75 if it is fake rapid trigger with TKL keyboard?

A keyboard need to use either analog or Hall effect switches to enable rapid trigger. Both Wooting and DrunkDeer use Hall effect switches. It’s definitely real. You could totally have rapid trigger on any layout keyboard as far as I’m aware. There must have been a miscommunication on that blog you read. I can’t speak to a direct 60HE vs A75 trigger comparison, but from what I’ve heard on discord who have used both they feel extremely similar in performance.

TKL just means ten keyless. A TKL keyboard can have analog switches. LOL

Looking at the user manual, I don't see a windows key lock function, so I don't think so unless they forgot to add it to the manual.

It’s actually not loud at all. I think it’s just how close he puts the mic. I just got mine yesterday and it’s an amazing keyboard.

I mean there's no question Wooting makes some high quality stuff, and they are really pioneering the hall effect and rapid trigger features. It's the future of gaming boards imo. But yeah, a little competition never hurts. And it's a question of what the buyer's priorities are for buying a board as well as what budget they have.

Wooting keyboards are bought because of the unique switches and software. ONLY on these keyboards it is possible to make unique movements in the same Apex. Wasp players will not let such a mess about Wooting keyboards. And until other keyboards have the same switches and software, no one will even look at other keyboards and let them be 2 times cheaper and assembled from super expensive materials, no one cares. WOOTING - THE BEST GAMING KEYBOARDS.

Wooting honestly is a brand name. The same as a Glock. Just wait till their patent runs dry or people get ahold of the tech and make it better. Wooting is obviously sitting still on releasing the 75% which is HIGHLY awaited, as well their stock is always out. Companies that sit still like this WILL be caught up to or surpassed by competitors that have similar functionality or later on even better functionality who are more active with their clientele and marketing. Wooting won’t be on top for long is basically what I’m saying. So it may be the best keyboard, but it won’t be the most popular or sought after for long when competitors like Drunken Deer become more widely spread.

Dang didn’t think it sounded that bad haha. Tried experimenting with a nice wireless lav mic, makes recording way more streamlined. Probably will go back to my Shure MV7 just a lot more clunky to work with and set up
