I'm grateful for your experience and sad it was a bad one. I'll probably keep the baffle things and not use those two back hoses but mainly want to add a tad bit of color with the longer hoses. It's funny how to each their own it is, but I prefer to remove all logos whenever possible. Kind of your take on subtlety, to me it's distracting and adds "congestion" aesthetically with Z1 or any other logo. One benefit of painting my calipers was to at least put my own custom decals on them, haha. A drop or two of pvc clear primer normally takes off most logos (test on a non visible spot first of course). Anywho, thanks for the video! Think I'm going to try and duplicate how you got your baffle thingy back on there with the new main air intakes, which I'll also be getting soon.

Damn Z1 is usually pretty good with their products !

I didn’t get these for aesthetics, I got them because my oem side pcv was part was broken. I have to agree that the connection to the intake tube seems very bad/loose. I bet a small percentage of air is sucked in through there which is not filtered.

Nice video! I just decided and went with the z1 motorsports race cold air intakes. Also got the mishimoto catch can set up and can't wait to put them on 😁 wanted to do something different 🤙🏽

I love the z1 hoses..I don’t mind that the z1 logo is on the inside Becuase I got them all Red..so it’s a big difference

The same thing happened on the g37 know I'm trying to find a way to get the kink out...but u feel the power difference

For the price and shipping of the Z1 silicone tubes I'd expect better quality. Just my thoughts. I ended up going with concept Z instead. Silicone tubes are a little cheaper and so is the shipping costs.

So those z1 silicone breather hoses going into the PCV you were referring too. While they say they fit a plethora of Intakes including the Z1 intake, this does not include the Post Maf tubes that Z1 sells. Those are designed to be an oem replacement. I ran into the same issue and watched a couple of other videos in regards to this and saw no kink in the pcv hoses on the z1 complete cold air intake. A little misleading on z1’s part partly due to the verbage that they spell it out with on their website. No fault of your own.

Maybe getting a different color would have made a difference. I have the g37 sedan sport and i used the same engine dress up from z1 motors and it made m y engine bay look real good . I got it in red to match everything else on my car .

I have a feeling Z1 Motorsports doesn't quite understand the concept of "direct fit". First off, the intake hoses for the Q50, which according to their website "... are a direct replacement for the OEM Intake Pipes that connect the factory air box to the throttle bodies" require modification to fit. Glad I had your video as a reference point when installing mine. These PCV hoses are "...perfectly formed to fit aftermarket intakes for your VQ37VHR", which turns out they're not (granted they're listed for the 370Z/G37", but still. Personal touch - I've been waiting over 2 months for the correct aFe Dry Filters from them since the first shipment they sent me wasn't the correct fitment, after confirming with them the correct ones to order for my 3.7 Q50.

How are they holding up after about a month now? Or did you go back to the OEM tubes? Also I have the Z1 MAF tubes with stock hoses just like yours at the start of the video. However I was not able to get the passenger side mounted back onto the screw down post where it belongs. So its sitting in-front of it sadly, its sitting about an inch away from that closest metal component and really dont want it to melt(which i doubt it will as its not touching). Also I always wondered what would happened if you had no hose hooked up at all lol? My guess is maybe prematurely over heating.

Could you have rotated the intake tube counter clockwise a little to make the breather hose fit better. Instead of cutting it. Should of went with the red. Did the breather hoses help with the sound.

Just ordered my air intakes and got a few other hoses but NOT these, thanks to your video. I did get the front PCV hoses but only because I'm going with a different color (not that it matters much since I will keep my engine cover to show off I actually still have my infiniti emblem for it, haha). I have to say though for someone that likes nice and clean, plus subtle, why on earth do you have that incredibly out of place "Go Pro" sticker on your bar? I certainly don't want to come across mean here but my honest opinion when I see your engine bay is like a kids unorganized toy box, solely due to that very out of place sticker. I have a trillion Z1 decals that I'll never use if you want them! :) Other than that sticker I likes it and it looks clean but that BLUE sticker draws my eyes to it every single frame it's in. No lies. If I owned the controlling stock for GoPro I wouldn't put their sticker in my engine bay. I actually have the same one but it went on my weather proof case that I keep my gopros in to remind me which weather proof case they're in ;)

I have a 2008 G37S, I bought the cold air intake kit i had the same issue with both pcv had to trim both and they were both kink’d it’s for sure not a direct fit

Have you considered the JWT Dual Pop Charger Intake? I can't see why they wouldn't fit with the Z1 air intakes but even z1 can't assure me they'll fit, haha. Not thinking about it for improved sound or performance (I've seen and heard tons of sound clips and zero difference to my ears), though it is what I think the sexiest mod for the engine bay. Thanks!

I had this issue also. I’m thinking of just getting 5/8 rubber hose from Z1 and just cut my own breather hoses

Hey are you gonna get oil catch cans for your car I got a pair from add W1 and installed it I really could find a place to mount them with the brackets that they sent so i had to do a little improvising

between the bad fitment and the cheap looking hose clamps i agree your engine bay looked/functioned better before you did this. thanks for sharing your experience.

Just ordered for my g37x and had same fitment issues now that I have it I’m stuck with it but I wouldn’t recommend it

It is much better if you replace the upper and lower coolant hoses.

Silicone PCV hoses are a bad idea. They sweat, get soft from heat soak, and can collapse under vacuum. I tried some with an OCC on my VQ35DE. Total waste of money and time. Stick with the OE hoses for PCV. Also, don’t run with silicone coolant hoses from Z1 if you care about engine bay dress up. These also sweat the water in the coolant out. Give it some time and all the silicone coolant hoses will have dried up white spots from coolant sweat. Looks bad, smells bad.

Also use new clamps those go bad after you open them

Replaces perfectly good hoses for different hoses that say Z1 yet they dont even show the logo so its not worth it lmao goofy ass boy close the hood
