My house is on the market now in the SF area. As soon as it sells I am coming to Charlotte. I spent three weeks in September and I loved it. Beauty, great people, amazing food and so much more. It’s a big move across the country but I’m so excited to make this move!!!! ❤

I just moved here from Atlanta and THANK YOU for saying Charlotte is NOT a mini Atlanta. It's definitely a great city with it's own charm and vibe but NOT Atlanta by any means.

You aint lying lol, for young or single professionals in Charlotte to live in the walkable nicer places…you def gonna need money or ur gonna be apartment locked. I was looking at apartments uptown area…sheesh my 100k offer gonna need to be about 150 😂. All jokes aside, it can be a bit pricey honestly in the more desirable areas like I mentioned.

Very helpful assessment of Charlotte. I am looking to move to Charlotte from the DMV. I work for a company that went completely remote. As a single, active female, I really like the DMV for the social scene and things to do but the cost of living is ridiculous. It's going to get worst for several reasons and I can not see paying the rent prices for apartments/condos for a fraction of what I could pay in the south. Also, I am originally from SC, so to be fair, I never like the prices in the DMV. I decided to hold off on buying for a year to make sure I like the transition. I want to move to an area that still offers some of the options of a major metro city, close to my family, and better housing options.

I appreciate your transparency. I live in Omaha Ne and I just saw your video looking for cities to live with some culture and near the water. I am so happy I found your video. Right now I pay $2200.00 for rent so when I looked on Zillow I saw houses in my price range. I make $89K a year with 3 kids and 2 dogs so I think with the numbers you gave we should be okay. I am checking now to see if we can make this a reality. I love all the positive things you spoke about. I am also happy to hear about the percentage of POC that live in Charlotte plus my daughter wants to be a Delta and go to an HBCU so I am happy happy happy thank you

@@authorizeking4027 it’s affordable. I don’t think it’s bad. Their is no culture if you are a black person. Most places close at 9pm. If you want to be a homeowner Omaha is the place. If you want a job everywhere is hiring. So yeah it’s an okay place to live.

Love this. Lived in the DMV for the better part of the last 24 years. I was hoping to buy there but real estate is ridiculously expensive and limited inventory. I moved back in with my parents to save money instead. Over the next year I’m looking to explore new cities to move to and Charlotte is on the list. This video was super helpful and I’m even more inclined to visit. Looking at properties on Redfin there’s way more inventory and value for the money than Montgomery County, Maryland where I lived.

Had to chuckle about the BBQ conversation. Sorry to burst the bubbles, y'all, but no one can come close to Texas's BBQ 🤷♀️😜 Carolina BBQ is probably #2, though, for sure! (Light-hearted poking here!) I've enjoyed living in NC so far. We've been in different cities for about a month each, while we try them out. Charlotte is last but NOT least and I have a feeling we'll be calling it home. 🤗
