Today, I'm sharing my thoughts on the new Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation. I've been wearing it for the past few days and included a wear test with close up shots after 8 hours. During my initial review, my skin was feeling really dry so I wanted to wait and give the foundation a fair chance. While I like the foundation much better now, I still don't love it more than other new foundations I've tried. Let me know in the comments what you think about this formula! xx

Hey Beauties, Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start. I wanted to mention that the first day I tried the foundation, I was running around outside and did not wear a mask. It still rubbed off my nose significantly so I don't think this is a very mask-friendly foundation. I will see how it goes today since the last part of this video was filmed this morning. This foundation was awful on me, patchy, and my skin felt dry. None of my products, blush, etc didn’t blend well with this. When I looked in the mirror later, I was horrified! I have DRY skin, wasn’t smooth at all. I was expecting it to be good for dry skin, and smooth. On me, it did not work. Other foundations have worked much better. Glad it was a sample. But, others love it.

Thanks for your review! I personally enjoy this foundation. It’s provides good coverage and has a great finish with hydration for my dry and sensitive skin. When I pair it with the Hollywood Flawless Filter underneath, it’s really beautiful. I look “lit from within” but in a polished way. I understand everyone’s skin and preferences are different though!

When I used it with the flawless filter underneath it made it look horrible, pores with gigantic etc, but I love it when I don't use it underneath, I ended up using the flawless filter as a highlight on top n that's the only way I was able too use both of em at the same time

I have dry skin and find that even with me feeling okay about my skin because of my great skincare, most foundations seem to be dry looking on me. My favorite foundation is the fenty hydrating one, that I remember some people saying made them look so oily but it was the first to really make my skin look hydrated. Thank you for your review on this because my fave seems to be being discontinued and if this works this might be a perfect alternative 😊

Because I can only order it online and can’t return, but I see that it’s not my foundation)) I agree with you about skincare here is a main, but also we all have foundations which will work on no matter what almost, and those, who will show and find every single imperfection on skin. And I always forget about the last, because I don’t want to adjust my life to any foundation :) thank you!

I have oily skin and I haven’t tried a foundation I love more than this one in a long time. Applied with a damp beauty blender it’s so so pretty and plumping. Skin prep and powdering where and when necessary is going to help those who are struggling

Thank you for such a thorough review! I have very dry skin and used moisturizer before applying this and I did not find it dewy at all. My face looked patchy and ultra dry and honestly, it looked to me exactly like Charlotte Tilbury's clay mask. I would not recommend this foundation for those with dry skin.

Thanks for a great review! Looking forward to the Dior foundation review 😃! I have actually never had luck with the CT foundations. I feel like I “wear” makeup with her foundations, and I don’t like that. And it looks cakey up close. And I have been blessed with really good, even and smooth skin and still they don’t look good so this was an easy skip for me.

I got samples of both the CT & the Nars. Wore the CT yesterday & on me it looked beautiful & lasted longer than I even expected. I ended up in the 5N. (Actually wore 4 fair in her light wonder. Will be trying the Nars soon

Hi Erin, thanks for your review. I wanted to pick this foundation but mixed reviews made me confused. I have just decided not to buy this one after watching your review. We can't return any makeup product in Europe after we try them. That's why good reviews are so important not to waste the money and time 😀 so thanks again for sharing ❤

I put this on at 6:30 am and I had a hard time getting it even. It was splotchy and my makeup on top was splotchy. At 8 am I took my daughter to school. I looked in my mirror and I was horrified. 😆 I looked 100 years old and every pore, fine line and texture of my skin was magnified and of course everything was patchy. By 9 am I washed it off and I returned it. For reference I have combination yet dehydrated skin and I’m in my 40’s. I did get a good laugh out of the name though, because it was one of the most horrible foundations I’ve ever tried.

Oh yes! Me too! I had the same experience as you did. I thought I was the only one! I looked in the mirror too, and was horrified, made me look older! No foundation ever did that to me, even the ones that didnt work for me. I have dry skin. It made my skin tight, in a bad way. Felt heavy. And, patchy. Not pretty on me. Could not wait to wash it off! Glad it was a sample

I have been liking both the Charlotte Tilbury and NARS separately, but mixed together has been a gamechanger for me. I highly recommend trying it out for anyone that owns both. I am someone that is used to mixing two foundations regularly (mostly for shade purposes) so I do not mind the extra step.

Your retinol story is exactly why I've been afraid to add it in this my skincare. I'm new to using skincare and just wary of it. Might add in at some point, but will definitely use one more for beginners and use it soaringly at first..

Try a retinoid instead. It’s def easier on sensitive skin. You can’t go wrong with Sunday Riley’s A+ a couple times a week. I use it every night and I put the Luna oil over it. Good luck!

I’ve seen so many reviews on this foundation & I don’t think it’s gonna be for me. I love CT light wonder so I’m good with that lol. And yes - love the skin you’re in. My husband always says “God don’t make junk”😉

Thank you for the review. I got two samples at Sephora, CT 4 Natural and the new NARS. The first day wore CT and loved it. I have mature dry skin. It wore all day jus tbeautifully. The NARS I will try again but did not care for it, I was pretty dry later on in the evening. Now, the Chanel 1, purchased that one and I love it so far. We all have such different skin don't we?

Keep the Retin A going though, even if it's every other night, peeling or the desired outcome...it does calm down though, and takes all of the dead skin and discoloration with it! If it totally builds back up, you will never get through this part. Just every other night at first, followed by, like a LaMer, and you will be glowing! Thank you for your hard work!

I saw you’re comment about Obagi, so I used Obagi back in middle school and they told me it will make your skin get worse before better and they weren’t lying! But it completely dried out my skin and changed my skin but with that being said it changed it for the better! I only get a breakout one or two during my period but other than that Obagi did wonders for my skin! And I haven’t had to use it for 10+ years! So don’t give up on Obagi!!

I have used this foundation a few times already and it will only be my stay at home foundation until I use it up. I was very disappointed, and it does not look s good as my Guerlain or Givenchy radiant foundations. I have no idea what the hype is about and appreciate your honest review as always.

I have dry skin and I like how this looks on my skin. I used one pump for the whole face and it wears well throughout the day - despite with mask on. But I do realised that sometimes it looks powdery - and I don’t normally use powder. 😅

I am closer to your mom’s age, dry skin and very pale. I found the CT Beautiful Skin looked great at first, blurring the fine lines, but too matte at the end of the day. I am in love with Chanel 1 foundation. Haven’t tried Nars. And I am in the same climate as you are.

Personally, I think the reason why you don’t like this foundation it’s because you’ve been using retinol and that’s what dries up your skin but that’s only my opinion. I think it looks great on your skin but again that what I think.

Your skin close up looks like mine when I've restarted my Vitamin A. I honestly wonder if it's just that you need to wait it out and exfoliate exfoliate exfoliate. You're gorgeous with or without makeup and you've got amazing skin. Some of those patches are reflective of the use of Vit A doing its magic by getting rid of the old layer, unfortunately it just may not be fully ready to "sluff off" yet. And the thing is, you shouldn't stop, maybe just alternate days. I've been using Vit A for over 25 years and I go through this every time I re-introduce it to my regimen. I wish you would try my exfoliating grains (gift), I guarantee results. Giovanna..

I absolutely love the Beautiful Skin. No problems! I think some people aren’t prepping their skin properly and perhaps using the wrong products on top. I apply it on top of Tatcha’s Liquid Silk Canvas and put Charlotte’s airbrushed pressed powder on top. I also apply it with my fingers and buff it in with a brush. I’m starting to think this foundation is very personal in results and won’t work for everybody. It’s that simple. Your eyes look amazing!

The wrong products on top....hmmm. I don't agree. This should work with the usual suspects, like concealer, powder, bronzer, blush. That's how a lot of people wear foundation. I don't like products that I have to pair with very specific partners for it to work. Sure, one powder could go better with it than another, but I don't want to jump through hoops to find the one recipe.

I have big pores too and this foundation looked terrible on me! It also emphasized my dry patches too. It isn't good for people with dry skin like me or big pores. The Estée Lauder Re-Nutriv foundation is MUCH better for people with dry skin and big pores! It's my holy grail.

It seems that they have discontinued the Magic Foundation which was my favorite and I cant use the others 2 because of the harsh ingrediants. I am very disapointed that they have discontinued the Magic Foundation.

I went back and tried this foundation again. I figured out that with this foundation, because it’s thicker, you need to use less. With this, less is more and you need a firm brush.

I don’t use so many different products, I use a foundation and a powder on top.. so I’m wondering if I’d have better luck. I think I’ll give it a go. I like the way it looked before all the extra stuff was thrown on top 😂

The second time I tried it I had much more success! It still disappears from my nose for some reason but I haven't tried a primer yet. I'm going to keep playing with it but I actually like it a lot more now! xx

I have dry skin, im 25 years old so not mature skin. This foundation was one of the worst ive tried in a long time. I was hoping it would be similar to my holy grail Chanel Vitalumiere aqua but it was far from it. I was so excited to try it but it sat ontop of my skin, was kind of "clay" like with texture. no no no

I went back and tried on this foundation again, and I have to say it went on like butter. I'm thinking that you may want to give this another try because your were using retinol and you probably didn't get the benefit of this foundation. Also, you are using a 3w but maybe you should go with a 5, the 3w is too yellow. I usually go by whatever shade you are using because we are similar, but I think you might have missed it on this one.

I haven’t hated a foundation in a long time as much as this one. I washed it off after a few hours because it felt heavy. Dry in some spots and oily in others. Her foundations don’t work for me ever.

I tried the foundation for a week and didn't like it, it is a bit glowing for a few hours then the texture goes a bit matte which I don't like, after a few hours it didn't look good and is sticky I have combination skin , mid 40.I Took it back to the shop. I have been using IT cosmetics foundation for a year and is amazing, glowing all day and last a long time. I won't recommend charlotte tilbury foundation at all.

Beauty Blender or stippling brush would be better. Thin layers first then build up since its thick. Dont use Hyaluronic Acid skin care with this foundation, it will melt apart. They say you're supposed to use a powder, im gonna use the UD setting spray instead of powder to see then will do powder. I really like the ingredients benefits but it is heavy and wet. Im having a hard time picking a shade. Its odd.

I think the Bad reviews are from Americans as were the negative ones for Lisa Eldridge.. Why I don’t know..? and most reviews I’ve watched ( a LOT) have been very positive.. I am 53 with a touch of rosacea , enlarged pores and lines… it looked “ beautiful “ I primed my skin properly …so if it works for me I fail to see why the complaints.. 🙄🇬🇧

On pore size: my pores shrunk considerably after quitting all alcohol! Amazing how different, it feels very smooth before it was a bit damp all the time.

Wish i would have seen this video before buying it🥺this is a horrible foundation it gets patchy break my skin looks very bad after a couple of hours…

I have never used her foundation because I couldn't find my shade. Charlotte sold the company, right? Is she still at the helm? I can't imagine that if she was in control of operations that would release a product that wasn't absolutely perfect in every way.

I believe she did sell. That might also explain the mess with the Matte Eyes to Mesmerize and how bad those reviews are going. 😔

I don’t like this foundation at all i tried putting on skincare + tatcha primer even my pat mcgrath primer still didn’t hold up and made me look creepy at the end of the day thought my skin was peeling off around my nose area

I got a sample yesterday and just washed it off after 5 hours except from under my bangs. It turned dry and didn't like the look or feel. I won't buy this foundation.

It's horrible. Absolutely horrible. The KZfaqrs who love it and say they look so radiant.............no girls ya look like a hot greasy mess. If you have oily skin, or even combo skin, stay far far away.

It definitely does depend on the skin. I love this stuff. I do have dry skin though. Dry enough that I will even wear oils during the day, and I’m not a full coverage type person. But I love this. It’s kind of impossible for me to get greasy even with super dewy foundations.

But dry skinned KZfaqrs do not. It also depends so much on skincare, primer, and setting spray of powder on top. Your mileage may vary greatly.

Utter rubbish foundation. Chalky going on with dry ashy spots. Emphasises pores & texture. Pump dispenser not in my tube, so v bad quality control. Provided less coverage than my tinted moisturiser,.disappeared from skin very quickly.
