I love how anyone who meets an idol instantly becomes the 10 year old version of themselves. Bills explanation of the history of the impression had that rambling excited energy of a child showing off their latest trick/accomplishment for their favorite aunt/uncle that they never get the chance to see because they live on the other side of the country. Super heartwarming.

I produced this for Sunday Today and don’t think I’ll ever top it. Could have aired it live. Was thinking Bill would do Keith’s impression back to him during the audio booth moment but he was just in a state of shock 😂❤.

one of the best pieces of advice i've ever heard about anxiety came from Bill, and it's to just acknowledge the nerves and the stress and to take the narrative out, saying "i'm anxious, this is me anxious." (rather than "i'm anxious because of..."). and he actually does this here 4:43 and i feel like that just adds to how much closer this makes us feel to him, that he's just like the rest of us.

another advice he gave on anxiety that really stuck with me was that we would do something on air that he hadn't prepared so that he can feel like he already screwed up then he can relax. I don't know why but it's the only advice on anxiety that I've heard and actually really helped me.

Keith Morrison is the Vin Scully of True Crime. He has the voice of a Radio personality from the 30s or 40s. No screen, they did it all with their voices. Bill Hader is very bright, scorchingly observant and clearly able to appreciate this.

I got to meet Keith Morrison at a dateline premier event that was open to the public in 2018. While I was waiting to get in he took a picture with me and took the time to have a conversation with. Really nice guy. I felt as starstruck as Bill.

My late sister and I used to do impressions of Keith Morrison just a few years before the comic genius, Bill Hader did it. We were so THRILLED when Bill did this impression! It was like, "FINALLY!!!! SOMEONE BESIDES US UNDERSTANDS!!!!"

Keith Morrison's voice is amazing! He kind of gives you that Vicent Price feel, when he tells the story. It's quite amazing. He is my favorite one out of the bunch!

I don't know how many times i have watched this. Makes me smile everytime. This is a dude who rubs elbows with Ben Affleck. Adam sandler, Tom cruise and many more and yet he is awestruck with Keith. This is awesome. He couldn't even talk straight. He was even too nervous to ask about a promo
