He’s a very obvious pressure salesman. What you’re watching is a practiced performance. I prefer to do my own research and buy things on my own terms. As soon as I hear that margin nonsense, I walk away. Most people are too embarrassed to walk away, because they think it makes them look like they can’t afford the item. They think it makes them a mark. But they are wrong. And anyone seduced by a salesman’s voice is the easiest mark of all.

@@matthewgates4130 There are watches worth well over £1,000, and I definitely would buy them. They are just not made by Rolex. For example, many Tudors which are as good as Rolex pretend to be, but realistically priced and valued. However, a Grand Seiko is probably the best value icon automatic. But basic Seikos are even better value. And I’m not susceptible to manipulation. I just don’t allow myself to be conned.

Literally there's no one that can't afford a rolex will buy a Tudor. If they can afford a tudor, they can afford a Rolex. They pick Tudor because of the different vintage design or because of Rolex stupid exclusivity games.
