This is interesting but I think a new version needs to be made for the 2020 6.7 because the peak torque seems to be way down around 1500 rpm. My son has a 2020 and was pulling a small load ~ 8000 lbs and the truck just liked running at 1500-1600 rpm. The 10 speed trans just seem to keep it there and the truck pulled hard. Never the less, the Derringer sounds like the tuner to get and Gale, you are a hell of a salesman!

Banks is great , you don't have others that lay it all out. It is so epic to hear that the same part new box just like when I worked in a plant doing Bread & the bags get changed to a no name that cost way less & you don't stop or have any way to know that it is changing since it is on paper with a different bag asking 2X more & this is done every where on many many things. Thanks & Enjoy learning even if I don't have a Diesel . Awesome

I don't have a Derringer, but I DO have the iDash gauge on my 2016 F-350. I LOVE this thing! I even found out I can monitor the air pressure in my tires! I had a boatload of Banks performance equipment on my old 97 7.3. I'd still have it were it not for my wife constantly complaining about how we needed to upgrade from "that old truck". So I did some bartering, and got a whole bunch of concrete work on our property for the 97, and found the 2016 at Carmax. I'm actually a happy camper now, so all's well that ends well. I'm a Gale Banks fan for life!

Awesome product, one thing i got to pondering about is how much power do i have after that first 30 sec. you have an excellent facility why not let it (and some competitor) sit at peak torque for 2 min and give us eng col, trans col, egt, and power/torque. that kind of pull do happen.

Great tuner! Just keep in mind you higher mileage trucks. I have 120k miles on my 2017. I go overboard on transmission maintenance. Changing fluid and filter every 30k miles. But level 5 and 6 slips the tranny and defuels the truck to keep from damaging the transmission. That’s a great feature but scares the hell out of you when you pass somebody and the truck falls on its face in the other lane. Been playing it safe with level 3 until I can get a increased pressure solenoid for the tranny. Great product though.

I'm curious of what the hp and tq numbers were on the flash tuner's you tested, I'd love to have seen what they made. But great video as always with great real world info. One of the few doing real world testing with no BS involved. I love to personally tune my own truck, it gives me great pride in knowing it runs perfect and is tuned properly. I feel as though few guys care about all the fine details like you and myself. This is a great product for those who don't have the time or knowledge to tune their trucks themselves. The numbers you're producing keep the trucks very reliable, on top of all the safety parameters built into the Derringer. GJ Gale keep up the excellent work!

Great videos!! With the SCT tuner, did you try an email tune from a good tuner? Or just use the crap can tune? The whole point of the SCT is to get a tune custom to your vehicle. How do you tune for larger turbo/injectors? Can it handle taller tires? Re gearing? Does it tune the transmission to handle the extra power? I do like the idea of it monitoring itself!! If it can do all that, are you planning on designing one for the 6.0 powerstroke? I learned a lot about manifold air density from you. Interesting, when did manuals start coming with park? lol

The Ram-Air intake for your 2017-19 6.7L will be available this Fall. And you're right, the Derringer, intake and exhaust make a wicked combo. Does your exhaust allow more turbo sound and how does it impact your tuning?

Our Monster Exhaust doesn't increase the overall volume of the exhaust or turbo. Your DPF acts as a pretty good muffler. Having said that, our exhaust does give it a deeper tone. But that's not really a selling point. Its performance and heat reduction are what most people are interested in. 👍

This looks great! What do you have for a 2014 6.7? It has your IDash data monster inside. Thanks for the Grrrreat info!

Thanks Steven. We Have our Automind tuner available right now. If you can wait, we are testing it for 11-16 6.7 Power Stroke trucks and the +17 F-450 6.7 cab and chassis right now. The Derringer for these truck should be out by the end of the summer.

Curious about the “safe” egt of 1450. I thought 1300 was where you want to back out of it to keep from melting pistons?

1600° is when you start damaging parts. With today's modern diesel engine, 1300° is safe.
