Basically the judge ignored almost all aggregating factors two victims, fled the scene, intoxicated, and reckless endangerment, concurrent sentencing is a slick way to give “certain people” a lighter sentence. This country was built for them, not ordinary people.

She has to do at a minimum 15 years. And then she has to request a parole hearing at the 15th year. And since she has not exhibited any remorse or responsibility, she will be denied most likely. Plus, since was cheating on her husband he will probably divorce her and cut her loose with zero money and she will be afloat on her own probably for the first time in her life. And also consider what the other female convicts will do to her if they know she is from money and killed two children. She is not getting off as easy as some people think.

The explanation for this sentence is very simple: Rebecca Grossman is a wealthy, privileged, white woman and her victims were neither wealthy, white or privileged. This sentence was what one would expect. It is an offensive and very sad outcome.

The other car could have just as easily been the one hitting the children. The other guy should also be in jail. Speeding, DUI resulting in death makes his conduct a felony as well.

I believed this is pretty standard at current sentencing guidelines. Remember that daughter, who killed her mom with a cooking pan and stabbed her 20 times, when she was discovered that she's been faking going to college. She got the same sentence for 2nd degree murder - 15 years to life. Most likely will be out by 7 to 8 years.

She got a light sentence! The woman is my age. I can't wrap my head around a woman my age who is a mother of teens going 81 MPH in a 45 zone on a residential street! And to continue to deny responsibility is unfathomable and it has placed a lot of burden on her own family which she is dragging down with her. Very selfish.
