He was so animated when his dog handler was in court....all smiles, and laughing.....but as soon as he started talking about him being Very Particular, and the Hose, then his facade dropped. And the same with Maggie's sister....he wasn't expecting her to be ...and very subtly I must say...so open in discussing his abhorrent behaviour and the lies. She handled herself so well, and you could tell she was holding back, just for the sake of her nephew, who she thinks is not connected to any wrong doing. It was a good day for the Prosecution....

He hired someone to shoot him, got air lifted to the hospital, then decided to enter detox, "he intended to enter detox anyway". How exactly did he plan on doing that if he actually intended on getting killed? Just my opinion of course but I think the road side incident was intended as a distraction, he had no intention of an actual fatal shot. He was probably mad that the wound was worse than they agreed it to be.

Agree 100%. I think many women would also agree with this. His manner of questioning her was confrontational and condescending. Mansplaining. I stopped typing this at about the 3 hr mark and let the video play for a few mins while I needed to take care of something and it just so happened to be the correspondents discussion during a break. This exact topic came up and Gigi said the jurors, particularly the women, are reacting just as I said. His manner of speaking with the Dr, the repeated gory details & photos and seeing Alex react with real genuine grief hurt the defense case.

He called a guy up the road he said in one of his interviews but not Maggie's family!! Alex is a practiced lier,corrupt man only concerned for himself. You can see & hear this in his doings with the stolen money from the lawsuit families. Everyone think about someone you love with all your heart.. then think of Hakeem Pinckey deaf, & after an accident a quadriplegic unable to breath without a ventilator. 4 days after his lawsuit was settled mysteriously the ventilator is unplugged & Hakeem dies ..unable to breathe,speak or hear. I'm a ICU RN & those ventilators alarm loudly when disconnected ,unplugged or tampered with. HAKEEM was not found for 30 minutes !! I would never wish that kind of death on anyone. Hopefully there is an investigation underway to find out what happened that nobody was aware of this ventilator failure. Alex stole the money that was awarded to Hakeems mom. Alex Murdaugh has no limit he won't go to or use to get what he wants ... This is my belief, corruption ,spoiled man & family members who think they are better than the working / poor class citizens. Check out the murdaugh murders podcast videos ,these videos will open your eyes to the deceit & corruption behind Alex & many others connected to him.

Also she made clear that the moment she heard about him stealing money and getting fired she changed her mind about a possible threat to her own family or to Alex and Buster. She said she had been absorbed about "who did this, why did they do this, are we safe... " and that changed everything. She probably knew in her heart immediately, she saw the motive clearly knowing that Maggie wouldn't have been able to deal with all these lies and thefts and the threat of loosing every penny they own and Alex going to prison for fraud and theft. Maggie was all about her family, the good future for the boys, proud of their name, their reputation, their appearance, their standing in the community and society, and of course she was used to be wealthy, too. A relatively new Mercedes, maintainance work in the beach house, all that costs money and shouldn't have been afforded at that point. However, the two people that loved him most, that depended on his ability to provide the most, the two people that would have lost everything they loved - the income, the farm, the beach house, the reputation and most importantly all their trust in him - had to be "spared". One of many motives I see.

Michael Bryant how can you say that? the cell phone video puts him at a scene he states he wasn't at and the change of clothes , come on. @T3361t
@T3361t Жыл бұрын
I see your point but the change of clothes isn't relevant to me. It's common to change clothes in SC in June. He changed when he got home, from work clothes into "outside" clothes, then after being outside before he eats, shower and/or change again before eating dinner. This is why he's wearing a different shirt in the tree video than what Blanca said he was wearing when he left for work. It's circumstantial because it can be argued both ways.
@eloise22422
@eloise22422 Жыл бұрын
@@T3361t but circumstantial evidence is as good as direct evidence. Thousands and thousands of inmates are in prison based solely on circumstantial evidence. He obviously took a clean set of clothes with him to the kennel. And he washed off with the hose after he slaughtered his son and wife. He then put on clean clothes and shoes and those clothes and shoes he was wearing he placed those with the guns in a spot he already planned. Alex methodically planned this so he did his best not to leave direct evidence. And law enforcement screwed up when they didn’t take him immediately to the station and take his clothes and examined his body for blood. None of that was done. Well they have a ton of circumstantial evidence and that’s good enough. Blanca knew what shirt and pants he left in and they disappeared with the shoes. Blanca had intimate knowledge of the comings and goings and knew about the clothes because she washed and folded them and put them away. So… wonder where those clothes and shoes are? With the guns hidden somewhere he planned out

Watching Dale testify I’m starting to get the sense that Alec may have talked down to the “hired help”. Dale said that Maggie talked to him “like a real person” as if that was unusual. It reminded me that Alec tried to bully his mother’s caregiver (Miss Shelley I think) and their housekeeper Blanca into changing their their observations of him close in time to the murders: the amount of time he spent at his mother’s house and the clothes that Alec was wearing the morning of the murder. They all were kind of afraid of him. They say that your true character comes out when no one is looking . . .

The fact that Alex loved his wife and boys means absolutely nothing as to whether a man is capable of murdering them. Given the right circumstances, everyone is capable of killing another person. Alex's circumstances were clearly dire. He had a plethora of events that were culminating into the explosion that occurred. Sometimes just one of those circumstances is enough to make somebody snap, but Alex was facing a multitude of legal and social battles. The walls were closing in on him, and there are far too many stories of seemingly normal and loving people committing atrocious crimes because of those walls. How he loved his family really has no bearing on his capabilities of murder.

Now I think when he was talking to the cops in the car he was faking it because of the stress of trying to get his lies straight. But later when family and friends I’m sure he cried. He probably did love them and killing then was a shock. Emotional.

Why is it so perplexing that he would be capable…what murder IS logical??? How many times have we heard of “normal”, “successful” people flipping out and carrying out a heinous crime…it happens all the time! Additionally, it really wasn’t “just” his financial crimes…he had crimes against his firm, his clients, his family, his friends…none of them knew or thought he was capable of that…so why so far fetched that he would be capable of murdering his family? This is a powerful man, who has always been in control of EVERYTHING and had the money, notoriety, as well as his father to get himself out of anything; I think a more appropriate way to explain motive is to say that it was just a culmination of all of these things gradually slipping from his control, rather than “just the financial crimes” There are too many inconsistencies in his story, which the prosecution continues to prove with factual evidence

And Maggie knows nothing of the financial crimes - I'd be willing to bet pretty much anything on that! True. After Maggie's Sister, yesterday? ? ? ? Who else would/could Alex Murdaugh gotten rid of? "SHOCKING! All these "deaths" :( :(

BECAUSE yesterday we learned everyone knew he had a hand gun in his car, then Maggie's sister stated Alex Murdaugh started wearing it? Was the "gun" in a Holster? Did Alex Murdaugh have any kind of PERMITS to have the gun in an UNLOCKED vehicle, or to Open Carry? ?

What do you mean? He’s staring right at her most of the time. And smiles at her when she first goes up to the stand

Yes he did. He watched her the whole time. She's supposed to turn more towards jury so eye contact can be limited.

Upon watching todays testimony I live in SC and the forensic accountant and prosecutors keep saying did he have the money on July 7th 2021 to pay all of these people but I live in SC and with him being a lawyer Alex knows this, when u have a lawsuit that ends up with a judgment against u they cannot do anything to u if u don’t pay it, they can’t garnish your wages (unless it’s a state or federal thing) and can only take your tax returns for state and federal taxes, public hospital bills, and child support. He was NOT concerned about paying $10 not was he concerned about $10 million he may owe because here it wouldn’t have made a difference. He would have appealed it push it off filed for bankruptcy and not paid a penny and no one could do anything except put a lean on his property (which can only be real property) in the state and could only obtain anything IF the property was sold at any time in the future. If I was his attorney I would EAT UP that “theory” as just plain crap!

I agree but it wasn't about not having money, moreso he'd have to turn over financial records and they would see the "d/b/a" Forge account and everything would crumble. I don't think he'd kill family because of it, but some do.

In my opinion Alex is guilty. Alex, after he shoot Maggie and Paul, washed off near the kennels USING THE HOSE NEAR THE KENNELS, where blood were already there. He changed the dirty blood clothes and shoes (never foud) and put the clean clothes and shoes that he kept in his car and drove to his mother that night. He did not have to go the house right after the murders to washed off. HE WASHED OFF USING THE HOSE NEAR THE KENNELS AT THE CRIME SCENE. SO SIMPLE FOLKS!!!

I would think that since AM was a trial lawyer he would know using two different weapons would throw in some doubt. He could’ve had two weapons in his vehicle not specifically with the plan to shoot them both. The potential still exists that Maggie was collateral damage if she heard the shots and then went down to the kennels.

There are an abundance of deep wells in Hampton SC plenty of places to drop a bag of crime scene clothes and weapons 600 feet deep. On way to moms house. Kept clothes in car as testified by housekeeper washed off at kennels with hose toweled off drive to house left wet towel on bathroom floor washed by housekeeper . Put pots of food in fridge drive to moms dropped weapons and clothes in deep well .

Why in Gods name would the defense question the doctor specifics about the gunshots. Of course its to confuse the doctor and her testimony. But what does that gain them. Their client still looks like a monster 🤷🏻‍♀️
