I admire the composure of the first witness in the face of such an arrogant, condescending, bumbling defense attorney.

The agent? Yes! Me too. He's grilling him for all these things and one of them is that they weren't honest with Alex when they went to see him regarding that picture of the truck. But police are allowed to lie if it's in the interest of justice and finding out the truth. But I think it just made the state look way better than the defense it they just look like they're grasping at anything. I thought this guy was supposed to be an amazing attorney.

For instance, we've seen him sob (with no tears) while listening to testimony about Paul and Maggie, glare at the caregiver and their housekeeper, avoid all eye contact with his sister in law, and he's very somber and looks a bit panicked before the agent event starts showing his activity that day!

@@anni610 they weren’t measuring 20 seconds from time he saw nobody at house . The measurement starts from time vehicle door parked opened which was parked very close to body and he got out and ends when 911 call is dialing. When he drove up he saw the bodies dead as vehicle approached as headlights scanned the area. He parked right next to body. So the time of 20 seconds begins as the door opens, with a phone in hand he exits vehicle right at the area one deceased is laying…he checked pulses meaning just felt for a heart beat but he clearly knew they were dead ( he wasn’t taking a 60 second aerobic heart rate) and he immediately then calls 911. Theoretically you can run a few steps feel for a heart beat quickly on 2 bodies and press 911 within 20 seconds. You could probably do 20 jumping jacks or more in 20 seconds. So it’s in the realm of possibility that you can do a lot of activity in 20 seconds and one would think could come to conclusion to initiate 911 call in the process of checking 2 people that you presumably understood from visual observation driving up were most likely dead.

Alex knew that he had to explain two things on his body that can be detected: blood and GSR. From the get-go he staged a lot of "info" on the 911 call by telling the operator he touched the bodies by checking for pulse. And secondly by going home to get a gun he had 'alibi for GSR' of having touched a gun. Not mentioning the fact that he immediately and repeatedly named the boating incident as reason for the murders. His first questions to police "are they really dead" is part of his set-up to appear shocked and distressed and "I can not believe it"... This man is a narcissistic charismatic sociopath, a master actor and a pathological liar who got away with all his conniving most of his life. His crying in the police interviews and in court is part of his 'setup to convince of innocence' and also crying for himself for being caught and for the life he'd lost. The boating accident and its upcoming court cases was the main trigger to explode his rage, and his lying stealing house of cards came tumbling down together with his empty pocket and financial can of worms. He craves the life he had from the inside of his jail cell and he knows his performance in court is his last desperate chance to act out his innocence...

So sad as that would prove so damning if roadside final location could be shown just after he drives past. They did show txt msg to MM's phone around that driving times, so there must be a cell tower data transmit/receive for it. Why is that missing here?

It's almost impossible to establish any ballistic evidence from a shot gun. The only thing left over is a plastic case that used to hold the ammunition. Shot gun barrels don't leave unique markings on that plastic shell. Rifle rounds are much different. The empty casing is ejected. That empty casing will have markings on it that are unique to the weapon. No 2 rifles even if the same brand/model, will leave the same lands and grooves but one gun will leave those markings on any round shot through it. He got the shot gun while on the phone I believe because it was the actual murder weapon. It couldn't be excluded or included. Someone needed to hear him say he was getting it...explains GSR even if it's old and he knew that shells aren't unique. It was all strategic so someone heard him and it was recorded!

So why wouldn't the killer kill all 3? also: C) the murderer did not bring his own weapons and just happen to find both the family shotgun and AR D) there is no factual evidence, hereunto, that has presented on behalf of the defense to refute any possibility of Conclusion: Alex did the crime!

When you have a defendant who is more or less a serial liar and fraudster, it tends to rub off on the defense attorneys. Unless they are very good lawyers, they come across as having no credibility and grasping at straws. The main problem for the defense is this; it is possible that Murdaugh hired someone to kill them, and then was present immediately thereafter; but there is no credible theory from the defense that someone else is responsible. It seem to me that if he was spending that much on drugs, he must have been distributing and reselling to others. But with his track record, how can the jury believe anything the defense says?

Also, if you want to look better to the jury, I advise you stand up when everybody else does. Show respect. I think the prosecution is doing an outstanding job showing guilt. I mean this is just a few pieces of evidence that will sink him. They have more and every hour this trial goes on he gets more guilty. Alex is a psychopath sociopath narcissist thief conman coward lying murderer. Alex was smart enough to not leave direct evidence. But the circumstantial evidence is overwhelming. Thousands and thousands of criminals are in prison based solely on circumstantial evidence. And the prosecution does not have to prove motive

That's exactly why prosecution wanted to bring all that in. A juror who thinks like you will look at everything he did before/after the murders, decide he's a bad person who should be locked up and perfectly capable of murder without evidence.

@@maggiemiller6056 They have a mountain of evidence. His voice on Paul’s phone video, exact shell casings and bullets around and in the bodies was found all over his 1,700 acre property and in the house. I’m sure no unknown killer could pull that off. Trying to bribe his caretaker, trying to get her to lie about how long he was there at his moms and trying to convince the housekeeper what shirt he was wearing. He also wanted to sell the beach house but couldn’t because it was in Maggie’s name only. Maggie’s sister really hurt Alex’s case. The car data the phone data. I think the prosecution is doing an outstanding job showing guilt. I mean this is just a few pieces of evidence that will sink him. They have more and every hour this trial goes on he gets more guilty. Alex is a psychopath sociopath narcissist thief conman lying murderer. Thousands and thousands of criminals are in prison based solely on circumstantial evidence. They have met that burden. However you are right that even one juror might not see it that way.

I live in Canada. If you convert miles to kilometres Alex was doing about 125 km/hr down a rough country road. Our legal max here is 100 km/hr on our busiest highways.

Would he have known that? I doubt it, AM's techno knowledge is pretty thin. More like he tried to unlock it and it wouldn't while he was looking at it rather than Maggie.

If they were killed about 8:50. The movement on Maggie's phone could be from Alex waking to the vehicle to go to the house. It would not match up with his phone movements because he started using his at 902
