Here's a chance to see me give a presentation to a live audience. I recently gave a presentation on personal branding to 70 students and faculty of Vancouver Community College. The students were mainly from the graphic design, esthetics, fashion design and jewellery design programs.
I couldn't set up my camera right in front due to the lecture hall stairs, so this side angle was the best I could do.
The main things to look for when watching are:
- How I never used the lecture they provided or stood down in the typical lecturer's area
- How I didn't need to look very often at my slides (I controlled them with my iPhone hehe)
- The way I engaged with the audience
- The way I used my tone and pacing
- My use of body language
- No umms or uhhs :)
