Watch Me Work [on my ONLY 600 Loc Client] • We Combined Her Locs and she STILL has a little over 600 Locs
✨I know, I know, it’s long overdue, but here is my clients story time from beginning to now. 😂
✨I was able to find some pictures (because I refused to get content of her because I didn’t want ppl thinking I did that many locs lol)…. And I didn’t realize how much slippage myself & @houseofmicrolocs had to repair! & I remember after the voiceover that I got the suggestion to just braid down the slippage by @brambleroots
✨Her hair locked so fast you can’t even tell we combine by braiding, 2Strand twisting, and the traditional methods of repairing (pics shown in video)
✨It is important to repair slippage because if you don’t that will cause bunching and if you let bunching go too far gone it’s very hard to fix.

I love the message, but this is why I learned how to do my own locs. Stylists and locticians never want to handle long and full locs. I don’t like feeling like anyone’s burden when I’m paying them the price they set.

I wouldn’t say she was a burden because if she wasn’t I wouldn’t be still doing her hair til this day… but I outside of her having alot of locs, her locs were messed up so bad, so as a loctician I didn’t feel right leaving her in the dust. Locticians need to learn what is excessive and the proper techniques so they are putting “burdens” on someone else

@@ClutchNLocas a retired stylist myself I’d like to recommend you to break her service into 2 days. Start at the top of the morning ea/appointment after you have had rest. This could reduce to stress of so much all in one day. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Just a thought. I’m sure she won’t mind if she really like you and your work.

@@ClutchNLocif she has that many locs she should have to pay as two separate appointments so it's not any extra burden on you. If she wants to keep that many locs in her head and she's having trouble finding a good loctician she might agree to it.

I have a lot of Sisterlocs as well. Thick and curly 😊This is actually my third set. I had a couple of really bad Locticians… 🤦🏽‍♀️ but I found a really good lady who did my entire head over after I took all those locks previously done by a lady in Hayward CA-who messed my hair up, pretty bad. It took me three months to take those badly done Sisterlocks down. It was a hot mess!!!! I actually just had to get another Loctician do my retighten. & she works much faster than the girl who put my sister locks in last year. They both do a wonderful job on my Sisterlocks! 🙏🏼🥰

@@jessicamcdaniels2337 I actually have two logicians… my brand new one is in San Leandro. Her name is Stephanie at Sola salon My other girl is in Oakland. She does it out of her house. Her name is Adrienne. She’s really really good - (she just actually found a new job ) so she does it on part-time now.(whatever you do please do not ever go to a lady named Kristin in Hayward. She’s awful. She messed my Sisterlocs up. She did not know what she was doing and she charged me $200 more and she charged me for my original first retighten. She left me hanging last year out of the blue and blocked me - because I didn’t give her a large tip when she came to my home. Please pray for the right person to do your hair.🙏🏼🥰

I had 109 locs for 12 years. Whole time I wanted around 60 maybe even less because I have a thick head of hair. It took me 4 hours to do them for myself and my loctitian a lot quicker. On my second go-round I'll aim for around 30 or 40.

@Chakras.N.Chasers I can so relate, to what you are saying. As this is my current problem. My locs are midway down my back. Repairs? Puhleeze!!! I do good if my locs get washed properly, and not half done. Let alone some repairs. 🤣 Majority of Locticians, love to chop and cut. They lack any ability to style long locs. Thinking that a bun is a updo? 🤣 🤣 🤣 I mean seriously? Boomer here, I can do that. It's my go to style. I grew up in a time, when we did our own hair. Okay? Thing is.....I want to KEEP my locs length. Cause I can handle them. It's just every now and then. I like to treat myself and being pampered. (There is one Loctician here, that has a soft spot in my heart. She is extremely good. Started my locs, she is like family. The problem is, the distance and location. Who am I kidding? Guess imma just have to prepare for that long distance trip.)
