It's actually the first time he has been somewhat right. 😅Dentists do in fact give the advice to eat ice cream when e.g. having had your wisdom teeth pulled, since it cools down and lesses the swelling. It basically functions as a coldpack while getting some proteins in you during a time you can't eat dense food.

In defence of Pakistan, lots of fancy, coffee shops, high end dessert shops and ice cream parlours are available to the public in the main cities such as Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Faisalabad etc. Unfortunately not in the tribal areas or villages.

That Malva pudding looked quite dry. Malva pudding should be served with custard, and it is quite a soggy pudding - similar in texture to sticky date pudding. It looks like they didn't do the soaking stage after baking the cake base.

As a south African i can confirm that malva pudding is to be eaten warm with a side of custard or ice cream. My preference is ice cream. Hot malva with cold ice cream. Yummy.

I have noticed that there are many cases where these fine gentlemen will comment that some sweet or high calorie food will make you or your children healthy, which is strange or even comical to the ear of a Westerner. But I think I know the answer. People who come from areas of the world where malnutrition and even starvation are within the living memory of the elders, have a different view of what is "healthy" - high cal food might be considered healthy to someone who is concerned about getting enough calories. While these gentlemen do not appear to be malnourished, they may know folks within their own communities who are or have been in the last few decades.

Tres Leches! One of my favorite! Yes, one can eat it with a spoon. Gelato is like ice cream, but richer! The flavor lingers. (My family makes it with the salt and ice combination.) An Eclaire! Chaudhary! FAT is the person who can have it every day! LOL We can GET those things but they are expensive and fattening. Most Americans are now eating more vegetables, fruit and whole grains to improve our health.

The South African malva pudding needs to served warm with cold custard or even ice-cream. But those malva puddings did look a dry, it needs to be moist and soaked with a buttery cream syrup. I wish I could make them a proper one to taste! Either way, my husband and I enjoy watching these guys so much, thank you

Ice Cream would not relieve a toothache, in fact it would make it ten times worse since a toothache it caused by your tooth nerve becoming exposed due to damage to the surrounding tooth/dentine.

French are famous for desserts.Lesser know are some of the amazing German desserts.I love German food.Native German foods would be very different to TPT native foods.Germans do love things like kebabs but their native food is different than most French and Italian dishes.
