Used to go out of there with my uncle all the time and now I understand why he was never racing through there like some of the other boats. Those drone shots really showed how much further those jetties go out and why government cut can be dangerous if your not being careful. Definitely going to share this video and thanks to you mike I hope more people take more precaution now that they can see what is hiding under the water.

Good reminder with Memorial Weekend a starting in a few days. It's OK to party.....just remember to keep safety in mind all the time. I never want to hear that MAYDAY-MAYDAY over the radio. Listen to Captain Mike.....keep it slow, don't push your limits, be safe, and enjoy yourselves and everybody will come back home. Thanks again, to Captain Mike for bringing Safety Awareness at such a opportune time.

Dude. Video on point. I remember going out of GC and my grandfather required everyone on board to wear a PFD when going out that inlet. Imo. Its a lot safer than boynton inlet. That place is a death trap. I had a friend from high school get his boat swamped at boynton. His body was never found. Be safe capt.

Love how you focused the drone at the edge of the rocks so people can see that at the edge where the eyes can see the rocks, they still keep going about 100 feet or so but they are just under the water. Very dangerous for inexperienced boaters. They should put lights to mark that area there.

I would love to talk to some of the Charter capts that use that inlet daily as to their opinion if changes are needed. They have seen it all. I know there are a lot more accidents in that inlet than what we will read about or see on the news.

Captain Mike this is one of your best videos. The drone aerial footage provides a completely different perspective of the cut. In the video I observed a few boats circle the north jetty inside the marker instead of going outside the marker. It’s easy to see how something as insignificant as that combined with speed and poor visibility can lead to a tragedy. I liked your words of wisdom “if you don’t know go slow”. Keep the videos coming.

I used to do a lot of night skin diving from 1969 to early 1980s and Yes the North side sticks out a lot further finally the big boulders stop and there is water and you continue swimming until the next final outcropping of rocks we worked the área and swam back working the north side until just before the beach. Same thing on South jetty go in on channel side and work back on other side. This is when Fisher Island old Garwood State belonged to Mr. Bebê Rebozo and let the University of Miami operate marine geology and fisheries labs there. The harbor pilots operated their berthing area and boats on the northside. That was a few moons ago...... it is my understanding that all of that is an underwater restricted protected area now.

Thank you Captain Mike. Great tour and safety tips. I don’t know what it is, but I have always been drawn to the water. I guess that’s why I live on Lay Lake on the Coosa. And anytime I get to go to a coast, it’s always too soon when I have to leave. Your videos are always so great. I hope to have my Chris Craft on the Alabama coast before the end of the summer. You always do a great job. Keep them coming. The videos are inspirational to the CC restoration.

Great production. Safety is so important. Most boating accidents occur because of the lack of knowledge. The water is no place to use poor judgement. You touched on one particular area and that was good. But maybe a video once in a while on general boating safety. You have good following so you could hit lot of people. I'm ranting a bit but I see people doing stupid things on the water way too much. Thank you for sharing.

Great video, unlike you and me and some others, most people need to slow down through passes. I know you said that you don't think they need lights on that cut...but do you think if there were some on there, would it have saved the marlins pitcher? Do you see a lot of boats hit the rocks? And sorry but one more question....is the fishing good around the rocks and maybe lobstering? But again thanks for everything you do.

Great Video for Boating saftey and Tips. However, I don't agree.... They need a "Light or Lights" at the end of that Jetty. Yes, you may be very familiar with that Jetty. Not every is.....nor are visiting boaters from other regions and/or Countries. In the name of Safety.... One life gone is one life too many for them not to put warning lights out there. Case in point - José Delfín Fernández!!! Regardless of intoxication or carelessness by the boat operator or not. Warning lights could've possibly saved their lives.
