I was so lucky when I bought my Freewheeler. Yes, with buying used you can get other folks' problems, but you can also get anything they did to improve the bike. My trike first off has a LOT of additional chrome. Then found out she has an upgraded cam and air breathing system all with a Legend Suspension system. Just tons of upgrades that I had started planning on getting before I picked her up from the dealership. Only thing I needed/wanted was a new seat. Saved a small fortune by buying used.

Got my first bike 2 years ago. The first thing i looked for is the ergonomics. My first choose was a supersport but the body position changed my mind to more of a upright position that was more comfortable.

I went to a dealership for my first bike yesterday! There was 1 specific bike (2020 softail standard) and I mentioned I just passed the MSF course. The salesperson turned my attention to a Vulcan and a couple Sportsters saying I should learn on them and then trade the bike BACK to them for something bigger if I choose. I don't know about any of you but when I go shopping for a purchase like this, that means I've researched for months already and you have the lowest priced something that I've set on buying. I left.

I had a long break from riding bike’s (family ) and coming from riding sports bikes to a bagger was eye opening, so my first bagger bike was a Suzuki c50t 805, in my opinion was a perfect starter bike for me, lightweight not heavy on horsepower but enough to keep up and didn’t break the bank

Great collection of great folks and advice!!! I did a couple of videos about this a while back. You killed it!!! I heard some great advice a few years ago and that is: Don't spend more than $3-5000 dollars on your first bike including riding gear. This implies buying a used bike over a new bike. Spending this amount means IF you end up not liking the motorcycle life, you've spent very little and can sell most or all of the stuff and not be at too great a loss. Great video RFN!!!! Ride safe!!!

I struggle with this question. What type of bike do I want though ive never driven one. I have noticed that im highly drawn to chopper style bikes. Still dont know what model im going to end up with but ive activly been seeking out yamaha strykers and honda fury style bikes.
