Watching from Kenya and honestly I am impressed by this video. Well articulated, the terminology used shows prowess in the field and the attention to detail is spot on. I noticed the ceiling slab: specifically the ceiling of the ground floor with red bricks, is different from how we do it in Kenya. Is that normal bricks, precast blocks? Kindly elaborate on this and if you be so kind to do a video on how you do slabs over there we would appreciate it very much. Keep up the good work. I love your content.

We call them max pans, made from clay. They're used for filling up space in Holloe slabs

Why is it that brick layers are very sloppy in Africa, the brick laying skills are very poor. crooked, not straight, cracked and uneven, that will need more plastering work to make the work look neat. they should watching more videos to learn skills.

sir, I have watched the entire video and I am amazed on how you articulated everything. from Kenya and now in the US, I have been doing construction in the US and I have amassed a lot of knowledge here. There are so many things from the video presentation even though they make sense, some of them are not done correctly. building codes in the US are so strict and after learning how they do things, I came to the realization that we do a lot of things wrong but they look right. I would love to have a chat with you so I can share some insights. ( Electrical, plumbing, Kitchen etc)

Great video, thanks for sharing...one thing I would do differently is, I would install the burglar proof bars after the plastering is done.

@@mukizadarwin The same way, but the difference is you will get less plaster on the burglar proof bars. If you're going to do it your way, the workers should cover the burglar proof bars with plastic or cardboard, etc. so that plastering does not get on them.

@@wodetiana It is an issue they have to update their skills and help reduce cost of building. Go on KZfaq and watch how blocks are laid you will see the issue. you cant be doing the same thing for 70 years and say it still ok.
