Nice vid. There are some definite pros and cons when getting dip or wrap professionally installed like this. The quality of the installation makes all the difference. However when it comes to changing the color of your own car yourself, that’s where dipping really stands alone. It’s far easier and more cost effective for a DIY customer do dip their own car vs vinyl. Enjoy the channel, looking forward to seeing the wrap. Keep it up!

I like dip, overall i think its worth it, most of my problems with my dip were user error but overall it really was a pleasant experience. I got it removed already just haven’t posted that and it came off pretty easy, no headache at all. Thank you guys for making something that works well

The reason people hate Plasti Dip is bc they don’t apply it thick enough which makes it peel like wet paper and doesn’t last long but thick coats can last for years same with it on wheels

Plus they don’t buy the protection spray that helps harden and protect the Dip from small scratches and minor damage

You can’t really blame any of these issues on the dipping. If it wasn’t dipped all those scratch and stone chips would be on your actual paint. Be more careful and it will last years.

I plastidipped the chrome grill on my Tacoma and it’s still on 10 years later. Some chips of course but no cracking and still looks acceptable.

Coffee Cat yeah if it’s over 90 and in direct sunlight it can bubble but the same thing can happen with wrap it can shrink and/or get bubbles.

Where in Cali are you when I wanted to wrap my 2013 Camaro I was told $1800. But lowkey if you’re gonna dip might as well buy the kit and do it yourself it comes with everything you’ll need and is only 600-700 and the next time you want to dip all you’ll need to buy is the dip.

That dip color is the coolest shit ever! Smokey purple with the teal shine looks like something John Wick would choose. Idk how anyone would think that shit is “girly” i think its mean af. That paint job probably has at least two kills under its belt.

Hey Drew. I am 14 and a huge fan of your channel. I already know how to drive stick because my dads car is standard. I wanted something of my own to drive though. So I looked around FB marketplace. I found a 1992 Chevy 1500 that was with in my price range. I believe it has a small block 307 V8 and a 5 speed manual transmission. It has 144k miles on it which may seem like a lot, but my grandpa has the same truck and it has over 300k miles on it and nothing has ever been replaced on the engine. Any thoughts on the truck?

Probably a 305 bro. Those engines are known to last well over 200,000 miles if maintained properly. My 2001 5.3 has over 230,000 and even though the bottom has been rebuilt my truck still absolutely screams with just a few mods. I had a 93 with a 305 TBI engine and 4×4 and it got abused. I love my older Chevy trucks and you will too.

They most likely layed your bumper faced down on the ground or have it sitting normal and scratched it by walking by. I find most shops are pretty careless when it comes to that kinda stuff.

You know this shits been around for over 40 years? It just wasn't sprayable,or nobody wanted a rubber car! My Dad used to dip all of his wrenches and other tools and he died in 1983. I was surprised when it first came in a spray can, I thought "what the hell would you use that for" cause to make a good coating on a tool you had to dip it like 6 times!

I still have aftershock from dipping my car back in 2015. To this day no matter what car I drive I pull the gas nozzle out super fast so the drip goes on the floor and not the body.

I will never do plasti dip again after the guy I went to. He got overspray all over my car, and I still have it on after 6 months. Shit is so hard to take off without scratching your paint. And I hate that bugs stay on it too unlike paint or vinyl.

Ive had my Dip Sprayer for 3 weeks and dipped my corvette shadow black, then 2 weeks later dipped it in Alien Pearls. its sic as tits! plus I can dip it a new color whenever I want!
