Kampala is always a shocking experience for just how busy it is for new comers...hell I've heard some New Yorkers complain too. It's only when you go to the other parts of the country that are less congested and with the stunning green landscape that you are truly wowed.

As a Ugandan, i can confirm that all this is true😂😂😂 even the phone part. Eh never pull out your phone carelessly, a boda guy will just pass by and grab it. Same for bags. Dont just hold them carelessly. If it's a back pack, carry it infront on your stomach. Also, when sitting on a boda, make sure your bag is between you and the boda, not on your back or arm.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully you will see many more countries: Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania. Maybe you will venture West one day and show us Ghana, Sengal and Cabo Verde 🙂. Oh, apparently Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia are nice but the language barrier might not be worth the long term stay. I am talking about French, not Arabic, hehehe. Beijinhos 😙

Yara, I anticipate relocating to Kampala next month for work reasons. If you are also in Kampala, and given your obvious knowledge of the city as evidenced by your excellent videos, would you at all consider allowing me to hire your services to quickly adapt and ease me in to Kampala life. I was a tourist in Kampala for a few months 😄. It's a good place to settle because it's cheap. But you must visit and experience it first!

Most of the Ugandans I met while there this year weren’t too friendly, I can't lie. I used to say that to my Ugandan partner.

As a Ugandan, I'm always amused when foreigners talk about how risky boda bodas are. Like we're so used to the danger they put us through 😅😂😂😂

I got used to it too! I don’t think they’re bad at all and it’s now my favorite form of transport. 😂 But we still gotta count yourself lucky for never experiencing an accident.

Surely, point no. 8 on "anyone can steal your phone" seems HIGHLY EXAGGERATED 😂. Please reconsider the "categories" of those who can steal a phone, because it's certainly NOT "anyone" (even the CEO of a Fortune 500" company surely??)😅😅😅
