I’m leaving on Monday for 2 weeks. It’s my first time solo travelling so this was a really helpful video! I had already done quite a bit of research but I still learned some new things from your experience. Looks like you had a great time there!

My place of both is México city. My parents migrated to the US when I was only three months old I’m 39 years old and finally I decided to go back in two day from now. 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

Yo bro, just came back from CDMX and THANK YOU FOR THIS VID ! I always saw the experiences tab on airbnb and never thought to try it til then-and for $80 I had one of the most memorable nights of my life! We had endless beers, made masks, and went to a lucha libre fight and it’s all thanks to your tips man ! Preciate you all the way bro bro

Let’s go! 🙌🏽 It’s definitely a hidden gem, but travel has become 10x better since I started using it. The soccer game and sailboat experiences were also sick if you ever get to go back. Glad it was a good time bro 🙌🏽

I like to think of chilaquiles as breakfast nachos. I live in Montreal, Canada and chilaquiles are not common in Mexican restaurants here so whenever im in Mexico that's my go to breakfast. Reccs for CDMX: mi compa chava (best seafood tacos I've had and the drinks were A1, the manager helped me order and was such a sweet lady), entremar, and tacos Jalisco (steps from panaderia rosette, you'll know which cart it is once you get here) . Can't wait to go back such a walkable city with nice people.

This was an awesome video. One of my dream places to visit is Mexico City. I’d also like to get to a C3 Spanish speaking level. I’ve tested at a C1 level on some free Spanish level tests. I look forward to using mostly Spanish and eating awesome tacos when I finally visit there. I think I’ve seen your videos on Tik Tok on celebrities in the US who speak Spanish.

Great video. I thought I was the only one that liked slow travel. I learned Spanish in Spain and I speak it friendly now, so I LOVE getting to know the chilangos, Oaxaqueños etc. I'm about to return to CDMX in two weeks and cant wait!

I enjoyed your video and tips. I especially liked the app recommendations. I will visit your written guide next. I plan to visit Mexico City within the month. I need to decide how long I will stay before heading further south to Colombia for a few more months.

Wishing you the best for the trip. If you’re passing through to do activities and see sights, two weeks felt like a good minimum. But if you’re into the diving deep, learning the language, meeting people, embedding into the culture like I was, I wanted to stay for 2 months at least. Maybe find a local rafting group 😆 Suerte con el viaje.

Just tried to sign up for SuperProf. Do you know off hand if there is a $199 MEX monthly subscription required to communicate with their teachers?

Thrilled you enjoyed the video :) And I hope you have a great time on your visit. Re: Superprof.mx fees, I remember browsing through the platform to find teachers I was interested in for free. But then I paid a monthly fee to send messages to teachers. I got replied back within a day or two and was able to find a teacher, so I cancelled the monthly that week to only pay it once. Hope this helps 🙌🏽

@@JerryRegistre Would you say $100 per day is good budget ( not including restaurants like Pujol. I know that’ll be more)?

@@erikacooper4707 I spent less than that per day 😂 so you should be good. But everything is more expensive in Polanco/Roma Norte/Condesa, so I'd recommend eating in local neighborhoods outside of these zones for cheaper but still fantastic eats

@@bobbyburnett4525 me encanta que los Mexicanos digan que las cosas son padres - me mola mucho la expresión 😂 Uso Tandem y HelloTalk para encontrar amigos con quienes hablar y uso iTalki para encontrar profesores generalmente. Pero la profesora con la que trabajo ahora (que conocí en esta viaje a México) la encontré en Superprof.mx Suerte con el aprendizaje amigo 🙌🏽

Glad you liked it! I spent 2 weeks which felt good, but I wouldn’t have minded staying another few weeks. I’m from NY, so the energy felt perfect for me. I met some travelers who ended up staying for 2-5 months and enjoyed it

Thanks for the video! I am curious about one thing: you mention that you are studying Spanish, and that you studied for a while in Spain. How different do you find Mexican vs Castillian Spanish? Other than a few differences, is it mostly the same? Or if I want to learn a bit of Spanish for Mexico, would studying it from resources in Spain put me completely off base?

México es muy curioso, frecuentemente la comida callejera es mejor que los restaurantes de alta gama, los mexicanos conocedores de la buena comida saben que Pujol es para extranjeros novatos, incluso hay gente que va y sabe que hay mejores preparaciones de esos mismos platillos. Te recomiendo probar cochinita pibil, chiles en nogada, carnitas, enchiladas, pambazos, tamales oaxaqueños, barcacoa, incluso no sé si probaste un platillo en los tacos que se llama "gringa" o tacos de suadero, saben bastante bien.

De hecho Pujol te sirve un huarache de 10cm y yo creo el que te comiste estaba mejor, así que no te pierdes de nada realmente

Esta es la información que NECESITAMOS-estos conocimientos que solo los nativos saben. Pues, la próxima vez que vaya, voy a encargar personalmente de encontrar comida callejera que sea mejor que la comida de estos restaurantes, y voy a agregar esos sitios a la guía de viaje. Si conoces algunos sitios para recomendar, mejor aún 🙌🏽 Gracias amigo 🙏🏽

@@JerryRegistre Bueno también hay que decir que con callejeros me refiero a puestos de la calle y a restaurantes pequeños, que en algunas ocasiones empezaron vendiendo en la calle. No soy mucho de esa zona pero Cochinita country, Carnitas los luises, Los callejeros están por ahí también y un lugar que he visto que está variado, bonito y no tan caro es el restaurante Café de Tacuba y hay varios de los que te mencioné.
