I genuinely feel like this method has improved my italian. Ive found its good for correcting common mistakes and practice using the language. I didn't learn alot of vocab, but it really helped the vocab I learned from other methods become second nature to use.

I have language text books for Spanish and French (French a whole box set and Spanish myold books from school) both with Audio CDs. The French box comes with around 10 CDs! So much Audio. I plan, in addition to the books, watch stuff in the languages and play games. Reading, too, if I get my hands on a book in French or Spanish. They can work, so does achool. School depends on the Teacher. My Spanish teacher was trash. Her lessons were just us translating stuff with Google Translate, her arguing with the more political engaged students and spouting right-wing stuff. Compare that to my English teachers. Night and day.

In 2024 speaking another language is not trancending or even news worthy. Should be relatively easy to learn. If you put your time into it.

Duolingo doesn’t directly teach you any grammar rules, it makes you figure them out on your own. That can be a good thing but I’d rather be told than have to figure it out.

Ive tried to use Chatgpt to learn how to pronounce words but it gets it wrong over half the time. If your using it just for it writing the words etc it rocks. but the voice aspect is crap IMO.

I tried Duolingo and it's not for me because I don't the structure, the explanation of grammar. So I changed my method and use the classical put paper everywhere in my house with the good vocabulary and it's much effectif for me because I try to create sentence with the things around me in two new language. I think I'm going to add ChatGPT in my method.
