Lots of interest in y L3902 tractor has led me to make a more detailed video on its features and capabilities.
This tractor is super capable, with its filled tires its very stable and able to remain so even with the loader near max weight. The tractor runs well, clean and is fuel efficient.
Highly recommended, as is the L2502. I think that would be an awesome chore tractor.
Hydrostatic trans is great but im intrigued by a gear driven L2502. Seams like a super reliable tractor for a homestead.

One nice benefit (I think) of the B2650/LX26x0 ROPS model is that it uses the primary tractor seat vs a buddy seat for the BH. I usually keep a short stick (of sorts) so I can lean over the seat to push the treadle pedal. Any more I do what my SiL does which is to lift the feet and use the backhoe to go backward or forward. That said, repositioning is a pain but just part of the process for a multi-purpose tractor. Would be awesome if there was a enough room to stay on the seat and just swing around like a full size TLB has. I have 1 acre in a subdivision so I'm already over the top with my setup. But, if I ever get some recreational property I'm sure I'll add a mini-Ex or a skid steer (maybe both) :)

We have the woodland mills. Hydraulic in feed. If I had to do it over I would of gotten the next model up. Higher blade speeds. We have chipped a lot of white oak. Our model is the WC 68. If you don’t have a set of forks for the tractor I highly recommend them. They are used more than the bucket.

@@tigerm08 i have forks grapple and a hydraulic post hole digger with a 12 inch auger. Super handy. Sounds good so you would recommend the 8x8 one? That was my theory im not going to throw a solid log in, its going to be sticks so i dont want it choked off

The belts on the chipper increase the blade rpm. Ours works great, had two clogs in 30 hours of chipping. Green wood is best rotten wood will clog it. My auger is pto so far no complaints. The grapple is awesome. If you have a lot of trees to deal with look at the Hudson logging winch. It’s basically a 500 lb plate with 230 feet of cable. I go a bit about idle but it will pull a lot of trees and it doesn’t tear up the tractor. The harder the pull the deeper the plate digs in. Incidentally my powerstroke is an 04 lariat that spent its life in California before returning to Indiana.

The Land Pride implements have 3 point hitch point with the same dimensions. My Italian spreader, my Mississippi made middle buster, my India made rake all have different hitch point dimensions and require radical adjustment to the three point. No, the quick hitch does not work for those adjustments.

@@davidpoole8667 if im not mistaken i pointed out in this video or others that quick hitch compatibility is an issue and land pride equipment solves that issue. You need to specifically find out what pattern your “quick hitch” equipment is and its likely going to be an issue if its an off brand.

The big block comp is a good one. My l2501 has torque for days. Will outwork many other 25 hp machines. Makes about 20 more ft lbs. over 3025

In my opinion it is a superior work engine and that is the only reason we are here. You can really feel how far down torque is on yanmars with the same hp. Im not a john deere hater at all. But i have a hard time accepting the price hike for what you get. I think for instance the 1025r would be a better tractor with a kubota engine. I think its a decently though out tractor with a weak engine. I can see why people like them though its a good tractor size and capability

our kubota dealer fitted us up the matching size attachments with our new l4760 and saved alot money and $35,000 was pretty cheap $2500 off the tractor,$800 off the loader and $500 off lbucket and forks and $600 off the blower so was pretty good deal cheaper then paying redicluas $86,980 for a 30hp deere 3032 wich was redicuas thats why we love our l4760 and fits on sidewalks nice bit wider though but saves the back

You are way off on the backhoe statements. I have a 2017 B2650 with a BH77 backhoe, rear tine tiller, box scraper, rear blade and front forks. The BH77 is amazing. I've dug out a dozen 12-18" oak and walnut trees, a half dozen 12-14" white pine trees. 2 x 12(ish) red bud trees, dug out 200 yards of a french drain. plus much much more. It's not a Case fullsize dedicated TLB but for a residential consumer who uses it for his own property, shares with his family and helps friends its an incredible tool. You mention renting one. This is exactly the reason I bought my tractor. I was removing an inground pool and compared the cost of renting equipment vs just buying something and the numbers came out I may as well buy it. I never imagine how useful and helpful having my "orange wheelbarrow" would be. Can truly say I was missing out up to that point in my life. To rent I have to have the proper size truck to move the implement or pay a higher fee to have it delivered / picked up. Plus, when you rent you have pressure to get it one within the window of the rental. When I own the piece of equipment if I have rain or something comes up I can just reschedule. I'm not out several hundred dollars. I get your intent but you were a bit too casual with your statements enough that I felt the need to to comment. By the way, I have been considering upgrading my B2650 to a L3902 (waiting for the L02 models as I believe the L01 models were deficient compared to my B model. However, I don't "need" the "02" model but want it. Why you may ask? My B 2650 is amazing as it is light and nimble enough to move and do everything I've asked. There have been a few times where I wish I had a 1000 lb of extra tractor weight and a few hundred lb's of lift capacity. Is it worth it? Well, I haven't upgraded yet. I love the Grand L's and Grand L LE's but the tractors are a bit too big and too expensive for my needs.

@@BrickyardPowerMan im glad yours worked out for you. For sure for french drains it would be great. Considering backhoe is not my primary use i find what its capable of is not worth putting it on or off. I do think they have improved the backhoe attachment system in the new models. I just find for the 12 grand it was i think renting a real mini is a better investment for most people for the few times they would need it

@@greatlakespowerstrokefx4 It takes my son-in-law about 8 minutes to add the backhoe and maybe 5 minutes to remove. Probably takes me 12 and 10 minutes respectively as I'm older and slower. I have a harder time attaching the PTO for my rear tine tiller than I do the backhoe. It is gangly - several people have built nice dollies to set them on so they can be moved around a shop. I don't have that luxury so it gets placed where it gets placed. Looked up the cost of my BH77 bought in 2017. It was about $7500 list price which included a 16" bucket. It is now $10,000 for the same setup - frame, backhoe and a 16" bucket on the L02 models as well as the LX2610, LX2620 which are the newer models to my B2650.

@@BrickyardPowerMan then they have vastly improved the geometry yours. Im speedy with the loader and deck but the backhoe on mine sucks. @@greatlakespowerstrokefx4 They BH77 for example does have a couple of different configurations based on the model and tractor configuration. If the tractor is a B2650/LX26x0 cab model, the BH seat sits outside the cab. If it is a ROPS model then you flip around the primary tractor seat. L01 or L02 are all ROPS models and I seem to recall the BH uses a small seat on the frame and NOT the primary tractor seat. I find this interesting because If I bought a L02 model and wanted to keep my current BH77, I'm not certain I could use it as is and may need to replace or buy extra pieces. Without a doubt I would have to buy the subframe that fits the L02 as I'm certain the one from my B2650 wouldn't work. Haven't dug that deep into it. What I have thought about is keeping my B2650 with the BH77 and if I were to upgrade to a L02 model that I would focus on other tools for it such as a grapple. It's all wishful thinking which is why I haven't done anything. My B2650 does everything I need it to today.

@@BrickyardPowerMan i think mine is a bh75 which i think only means its older. I was just actually in call with the local kubota dealer and asked if they could get mounts for l2502 to use my back hoe so it at least would do something besides sit. I dont need 3 point capability at my cabin just loader capability so i was thinking it would make a great counter weight besides hole digging. I just know 12k has sat and depreciated down to probably 4 grand so it to me was a useless purchases. I wish we had put 12k else where. In contrast the loader and mower had exceptional use. The other thing we didnt use was an angling blade. For a gravel driveway the loader works much better. So i ended up selling that to a friend who wanted it. I think a box blade was a better buy and i ended up with one after

Be for warned, steering wheel does not tilt but i like it tipped up anyway

Why would you get an L4060 or mx series when this L4802 is so much more cost effective?
@greatlakespowerstrokefx4
@greatlakespowerstrokefx4 2 ай бұрын
Its really all about frame size. The l60 is bigger/ heavier. Slightly. So more lift and pulling capacity. And a fancier hydrostatic system but no manual trans option. And the cab. You are right the l02 is cheeper but its also a physically smaller tractor. On trails on a property a small tractor might make alot of sense. And for transport. 48 hp vs 40. But the 40 is in a heavier tractor so more loader lift, 3 point lift and tractive force. Ie it can pull more. So there are trade offs here. Mx is similar frame to a l60 but its more basic, like the l02 is
