You can make upwards of 800whp on stock internals. I made 650whp on my first MKIV.

Correct. Most people say 800whp is the limit on stock internals but it's really more about torque. I have a stock head with the exception of cams, and JUN pistons and rods and am still running a relatively safe tune at 789whp on E85.

color combo's are one of the key items that will get you top dollar. yes a red one and a black one both sold for well over $100K but they both had the lowest miles recorded to this day. If you were to find an ALL original, unmolested 1A1 hardtop with TT/6spd?....you'll easily be paying in excess of $70k for it. even if it had somewhere in the 80K miles range. hardtops are something you did forget to mention as a key item to look for. greta video none the less.

Oil pump seals aren't an issue, the turbos are not fragile, and the crank pulley does like to eat itself :D but the crank pulley should be an inspection item on every service.

Awesome video. Im looking for these cause they were my favorite car next to the vspec 2 gtr 34. Theyre rediculously cheap like 20 to 30k. That is RHD supras, theyre super cheap compared to the LHD unicorns.

Lol I dont know about never losing a dime on I paid $4800 for my A80 4 years ago but at this point I've easily spent well over 60k on it just from being indecisive on my setups and then always wanting more. I will never sell the car but if I did theres no way I would ever get back what I've spent on it. Stock these cars are not ground breaking or fun to drive. The way the power came on with the stock twins was enough to make me go single. I absolutely hated the feel of near instant response up until 4k then the die off right before the second turbo kicked in and gave another kick. That was such an annoying feeling. I'm buying a A90 to daily. Its alot cheaper than constantly driving around my 80 where every is stupid expensive, discontinued and parts are hard to find. I went to hell and back searching for a pair of kouki headlights and taillights at one point it was awful.

A lot of is information is very basic and a lot incorrect, stock internals will go well over 8-900 on a healthy motor. The record is 1106 WHP on a stock block. When you say turbo or NA and answer it with 2JZ all the way, both of them are 2JZ motors, 1 is the GTE and what is a GE. Every MK4 came with a 2JZ No matter what. LHD hardtop is one of the rarest, mentioned nothing about the 95 SE edition, LHD vs RHD markets are completely different and you can get the same card as RHD for half of an LHD. RHD targas are rare unlike the LHD Targa, etc. This seems like a very basic Google search compilation of info

depends, if you already have taken delivery then that's great, but if you haven't then id definitely recommend getting someone to go check it out for you cuz it might be a piece of shit that they drove into a lake. Best of luck to you

There is some misinformation and misleading information in this video. If you want actual important info before buying one of these cars, head to supraforums. He mentioned nothing about swapped cars and labeled the turbo motor a 2j, neglecting the fact that the N/A motor is also a 2j, just a 2jzge vs. 2jzgte. I would hope anyone would actually do more research than watching this video before buying a $50k car but you never know...I just know I did...

Also, color makes a big difference. 98s in quicksilver along with RSP (royal sapphire purple) are most desirable and pricey due to production numbers. The most common combo is renaissance red on tan which is considered less desirable. 1a1 or Anthracite is also highly sought after.

Swaps matter, as they usually dont hold as much value as original turbo cars, but an auto tt chassis will hold more value than any N/A chassis. If a car is 6 speed swapped, there are many common swaps including an original and pricey v160 which are discontinued, t56, t56 magnum, and Nissan cd0009. If you are looking at a 6 spd car, you want to make sure it has a 6 spd differential/gearing as they were stronger than the N/A diffs and the higher gearing of the autos makes them a PITA to drive with a stick.

That's still not cheap, the transmission and the diff is like 16 grand by itself. Then the axels motor and brake upgrade and ECU and Wire Harness is like 20 grand, I didn't even talk about labor yet... Now people cheat it and they don't go with a v160 or the proper diff. but if you don't cheat it, it's expensiiiive... .

This is gonna be long please read it all😁 I am 11 years old and am living in Temecula California, my dream car is a Mk4 Supra, with a 2Jz engine, twin turbo, and a wide body kit. I want it really low and adjustable suspension for speed bumps and stuff lol. I live next to the youtubers “e_ought” On KZfaq . They have 2 Supras, a Nissan GTR R34 and another GTR, go check them out I am in the vlog where he sold his favorite car and Simone keyed their R34 😬😬. I am in love with cars and wanna be an Architect and design millionaire mansions when I grow up. If you have any tips for me please leave them in the comments, please no hate. My mom loves that I want a Toyota Supra and wants to get me on for my first car, or later on in my life.

Rylan Castillo yeah little man that’s the spirit you see when i was younger I also wanted a mk4 bad now that time has passed I’m a couple dollars short from the money it takes to buy the mk4 I used to think it was impossible but hard work and a lot of dedication I’m close let me tell you this if a mk4 is a car u believe is what your life needs persistence is key your 11 you still got long time to learn a lot stay in school fill up your last page of notebook and you’ll see the results once you’re done with school life and I promise you by the time if god is on your side and with your family you’ll be rocking that mk4 and GTR 34 on your garage but right now focus on your priorities and school little man. 👍🏻

You can get a 1994 60kish miles TT in very good condition for 38-41k as a import right now. I seen the 1993s for 32k ish. It’s going to get cheaper as more cars are eligible for import
