Watch This Before You Charge DeWALT Batteries!
With the charger taking so long on the Dewalt Toughsystem radio, we decided to test if a standard dewalt charger or a fast charger would charge a 20v max battery faster and by how much? The test results in this video are very surprising! Make sure to watch this video before you charge dewalt batteries to save you time and money!

The slower you charge a li battery the more years it will last

I got two 5ah DeWalt batteries and still use the original charger. I have yet to find myself waiting for a battery to finish charging. But then again I typically work by myself, and in the chance I work with someone they usually have a different brand/size.

The DCB107 has a max charging current of 1.25 amps. So it can theoretically fully charge a fully-depleted 4.0 amphour battery in 3 hours and 12 minutes, and the corresponding C rate is 0.31C, which is quite low and will help prolong the cycle life of the battery.

I'm already running 2 20v max and 2 60v flex bolts I was trying to migrate into milwaukee because I love their drills but I love my flexvolts

Fusion 2016 is correct...the 101 and 115 Dewalt chargers come with their better kits and charge the 4 amp/hour batteries in an hour. Dewalt has produced too many different chargers over the years and it can get confusing

That's incredible I definitely would love to score me a speed charger like that compared to my standard dewalt charger that's for my powerful impact gun what I don't like about mine is that it gets pretty hot when it gets to process charging it scares me some times I get a feeling where it might catch fire or something

My charger is the same as the one on the right as it came with my Cordless and Impact and it charges a 4.0AH in about 35 mins idk what is up with yours.

Is it not a good idea to charge flexvolt batteries on a standard charger? Mine gets really hot when I put my 6.0 flexvolt on it

Test the new tstak radio charger... im debating on that radio...only problem is the tstak storage size... so im stuck with the tough system..

I charge my FlexVolt battery on the standard black charger and I just get a solid red light what does this mean ?

I thought about buying a fast charger, but lithium batteries are expensive. I would prefer to charge them a little slower and cooler so they last a little longer. If I use up batteries quickly and need them ASAP, I would probably buy an additional battery as a buffer and charge them all using a normal charger!

VCG love the vids... Vince let's see a run thru on each of the dewalt packs. Standardized the tool and see runtimes. 2,3,4,5,6,8 & the flexvolts. Ty.

I have both the TStak radio and the old school DCR025 bluetooth radio and although the TStak sounds WAY better, the DCR025 charges batteries way faster than even the standard DCB115 charger which is faster than the TStak for charging batteries. Plus the DCR025 has an extra 2 AC outlets in the side of it to plug in an extra charger if you need to.

I have the 115 charger and the 118, I found that when I used the 115 on a pair of 4amp batteries for a year with no problems, then got the 118 and charged a different pair of 4amp after 9 months one of those batteries only holds 2 bars of charge
