That was probably the best tornado video I have seen. Much respect to the camera man or woman for keeping it in frame for all but a few seconds and to the whole group for having the balls to get that close to it.

lol, the frame is adjustable. Typically, you make it so whatever you're shooting fills up the whole frame.

No, he was talking about the tornado, tornados feed on gas, if there’s no gas then they dissipate. It looked like the tornado was slowing down immensely, so there may of not been enough gas in the air to sustain it. That’s why some tornados don’t form, or they form and fizzle out, not enough gas.

It worked for Clem! You should look it up. KZfaq Clem Shultz. He filmed a tornado coming straight for him and survived.. At 80 years old. His wife sadly passed away. It's the scariest video I've ever seen in my life. Especially since I'm from the Midwest and not a stranger to tornados. If you hear the warning, seek shelter. Don't mess around with this stuff! 👊👊

I've experienced a lot of storms that produced tornados. I've also been within a few hundred feet of an F0 and within a half mile from an F1. They seemed scary because of the wind, hail, change of the color of the sky beforehand. They made me feel sooo good to be near. Also, couldn't see anything because the rain/hail blocked all visibility. That's what makes this video so cool- you can see it!

I'm here in Texas. Seen my share of these brutes! Whoever filmed this showed pure professionalism and had respect for something that takes lives and property without mercy! I learned a lot about the speed that it can travel with churning the ground! This moved slow like the deadly one that hit Jarrell, TX a few years back. It too started off as a rope tornado....

I think they are programmed to compensate for conditions ie slippery roads or heavy wind. My guess is they would be programmed to pull over if it became so windy they were unable to stay in their lane.

Tornado went through my house. Sent stuff flying...and screaming and sparks and...no power for 1 day...trees out rooted...sky yellow...only an F2 or F3...they are not usually that big.

Educational as to what the clouds above are doing, how fast they are moving, how long the tube can be etc....and the close up of underneath is just phenomenal to me! Of all the tornado footage I've seen caught on camera, I've never seen anything quite like this!!! I was actually shocked at how close they were willing to drive towards such a huge tornado. They literally risked their lives here. I'm just thankful they were able to not only capture the footage, but also not get swept away while in the process. With that said, this has to be the most amazing tornado footage EVER!!!

The small funnel is still there, you just can't see it because of all the dirt its kicking up. I learned that from watching Pecos Hank's videos. I also learned that the direction of the tornado can turn on a dime and go back the way it came. When this guy started saying he was almost out of gas, I thought he was extremely lucky this tornado didn't do that.

@VaderxG dust devils are relatively weak and you can easily walk around in one, they can pick up pieces of glass and other small sharp objects so that’s the biggest concern

there have been a few incidents of storm chasers getting into car accidents actually, sometimes fatal and sometimes driving into each other because they are watching the tornado and trying to keep up with it instead of looking at the road.

Great video. I haven't seen any quite like it, on the subject. I certainly respect and appreciate that this crew was either very courageous or very crazy or a little of both. It stayed in the center of and straddling the road so long that I thought it was coming straight down the road to the crew's vehicle. Thanks to all involved in the production and publishing.
