she probably mad those *sounds during eating to try and protect found food from other cats (?). what you posted reminds me of my sister's cute tiny fluffy white runt cat 'Sugar'... no claws (none of her circumstances (being clawless) were my decision and i did protest). but I loved on her so much and pampered her, giving in to whatever she wanted to do. when my parents divorced, she went to live with my extremely emotionally cold father. the few times I visited her, I saw her get ignored and literally kicked out of the way by him when she tried to get affection. It breaks my heart to this day. he kept letting her outside at his new place and, one day, she was nowhere to be found. I hope someone else found her and gave her a better home... :(

Cats do not came to streetlife from themselves. Most of the time, there are three reason : stolen, lost, or abandoned.

and a few toys (laser pointer, jingle bell balls, catnip toys, small ball in mat with claw sharpener, things like so that makes it interesting for her and exhaust her easier)

@@grannym2880 Her meows sounded hoarse beforehand in the video before they even took her home, which sounds very similar to infected cats. Not to mention the fact she was in a feral colony and Upper Respiratory Infections are like the flu for cats; so baths do not cause URIs. URIs are spread through direct contact with an infected cat or through, less common but still possible means, like infected items like bedding, water/food bowls, litterboxes. Hope this explains a bit on how URIs work. :)

It was an ironic joke cause I feel myself the cat mama of my four beautiful lovely cat sons. They are my unconditional loves and brighten up my day.

It could be because she was young too. We rescue stray/feral cats from time to time, & usually the younger they are, the easier they adapt. They’re not as defensive as the older cats, who’ve had to spend a lot of time defending themselves.

She's not feral. Feral cats are born wild and they don't approach humans. This was a house cat who was lost or abandoned. Her appearance in the beginning shows that. Feral cats aren't unkempt and sick. They can take care of themselves because they've never known anything else. A pet who's been taken care of and then abruptly tossed onto the street to survive fares much worse. She wouldn't have lasted long if these good people hadn't found her.

@@texasred2702 this is incredibly untrue. First, this cat is probably not older than two months, which is the age where feral kittens are the easiest to butter up. We just found a ~7 week old feral kitten in our basement and it took 45 minutes of forced petting for her to settle down and act like a house cat. Second, Not only is this cat’s coat severely matted indicating she’s probably never been groomed even non-professionally, but feral cats can and do suffer from a wide range of skin issues and disease, not to mention infections from scar tissue. That’s a really weird myth, feral cats (or any domesticated animal) aren’t just somehow built like wild animals somehow incapable of getting dirty, they are still domestic breed cats that require at least access to human civilization to survive. Plenty of feral cats in urban areas build bonds with the humans that feed them, they’re smart and affectionate animals by nature. That bond easy fosters a trust in humans, which can lead to older and younger street cats alike choosing to seek out affection.

Our cat is the same. Cuddled to get adopted and proceeded to be aloof for years. We are just grateful he sometimes allows pets. Loves to show off his beauty by lying in the warm sun.

They generally have a mottled spotting coloration. This one is technically a calico (similar genetic based coloration also usually female), since it has a lot of white and the patches are less muddled and more uniform.

@@Townie7177 A tortie is the coloring and it's named that as it sort of resembles a tortoise shell. Not a pure calico but similar. Once you've seen a calico it is easier to disingusinh. Take care.

More like hissing, actually - a lot of cats don't like to be touched while they are eating.

If you notice, she was responding to her 'mom' petting her while she was eating. She wasn't meowing, it was a warning - she was growling in defense of her food. Not surprising, since she had to fend for herself and find her own food when she was feral. She did good, though - she didn't actually bite or scratch, she just growled! Many newly adopted ferals would actually fight anyone who touched them while they're eating. She's a good kitty.
