Bro is talking down about performance on a gun he's never even shot. DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS GUY. The TTI outperforms the rival any day of the week, ported barrel or not
@somethingtactical2 ай бұрын
I don't have Rivals? Crazy, they say Rival on the and the case. If your dumb ass was listening, I am talking about the guns I have. Comped Rival (which is all he did) will not out run the same gun that is ported. Never in my comments did I say the gun won't be good. The dumb ass comment that the TTI will outrun a Rival tells me you will fall for any sell catch. The TTI is a Rival ! Wow! Bahahaha! Taran didn't make this gun. He just added a comp. Wow, if you are going to troll have a little knowledge!!
@GreysonThompson-fz6vu2 ай бұрын
Read my comment a little more carefully. I said you were talking down on a gun that you've never shot. Referring to the TTI. And of course they are similar. Taryn doesn't make new guns. He takes an existing idea imperfect them. This has nothing to do with me falling for a marketing scheme. I am a long time follower of Taran Butler. The man is one of the best shooters in the world and he knows how to make a performance gun. Your whole argument is based around the fact that you are cheaper gun can outperformed the TTI. Yet you have never shot one. I don't care how extensive the upgrades are. If it runs better it runs better. But you would have no way of knowing that because you've never shot one.

And before you make some sarcastic remark about my grammar. I'm at work and I'm trying to type fast. Just thought I would get out ahead of that insult that I could see you throwing from a mile away. Especially since you can't make a factual argument about the gun. Unjustified insults seem more like your style

@GreysonThompson-fz6vu Bruh, it's a Rival. I have been dealing with comps forever. I know how a Rival runs with a ported barrel. What I am saying there is no way a comped Rival will shoot better. And I never said don't get one. I was expressing my knowledge of Rivals, ports and comps. And I bet you all kinds of money he only added a comp and maybe a lighter guide rod spring. There is no way it will shoot $400 dollars better!

If the gun was being presented as a Competition oriented platform, I'd agree 150% with you. The TTI has been made to compete with compact sized guns on a "combat" (defense) market niche. Could you compete with one? Damn yeah... I've competed with unmodified G19s, X-Carry...! I own Rivals, and definitely they are race/competition oriented built guns, for a completely different purpose - to compete, and they do that amazingly for what you pay. I haven't shot the TTI yet, but will definitely try one out, and if it is what I think it will be replacing an Elite Combat I've got with a comp. That's what's it has been built for. Keep up with the great work, great channel and keep the powder dry!

The TTI reminds me of the Lipsey's Rival variant. Looks like the same model, color combination with a TTI logo, and Comp added. I'm guessing that's why the price isn't Taran's usual premium.

To think its cheap as it is, the guns base build with all the upgrades on it is currently worth far more than what they're selling it for. Pretty surprising. Has the same performance as rival s despite it being more for combat than competition as well
@somethingtactical2 ай бұрын
Don't fall for the sell pitch ''combat". It's just a Rival with a comp. That is my point. With Taran name on it the price goes up. Get a Rival and port the barrel $500 savings. And No, it will not have the same performance as the steel. I have both.

I had to laugh when I saw the vid. The title of the vid should be, "If your wife only let's you buy 3 guns this year, maybe the TTI isn't on the list". The TTI is my first Canik, that being said I think it's a solid bargain and a solid choice. I told the wife about it, so I've only got 2 more guns to choose from this year and I'm done. 😢

Your logic was... steel makes a better gun? Explain why so many people use glocks and glock clones lol
@somethingtacticalАй бұрын
Don't think I said that. I said the Rival with the ported barrel will run as well, if not better than the TTI and cheaper. The steel will run run smoother because of the heavier gun. It might not be the best purpose gun because of the weight. And the purpose people use Glocks and clones ( other than fan boys) is because of the ease to get parts. Glocks are far from the best guns out of the box. Back to the steel, steel will have less recoil because of the weight.

This is a case of my guns better complex. Caniks are modular just wait for a metal frame . Also the “none threaded comp” 🤯 what’s that mean? Oh places and comps where threaded barrels not allowed or threaded barrels are illegal. Well not for the tti Canik oh this guns cerakoted? Upgraded texture for slide, slide stop slide release trigger 🤯🤯 bro stop making videos you’re clueless and you compared a 1911 p226 trigger to a p320 striker fired pistol lolol fruit loop
@somethingtacticalАй бұрын
Sorry you missed the point. Let me try. The video is about options. It does not say do not buy the TTI. Upgraded slide release? Ha! Ok. Texture? Is it needed and cost effective? Non threaded comp vs ported barrel? When the tti first came out it was $1500. The steel(which runs better than polymer) was $899. Ported barrel is $100. I made this video before I tested the TTI. Now that I have, the steel Ported all day. The guy who had the tti didn't want me to post it. FYI, it's OK to disagree. There is no need to attack me. Just keep it moving. Clearly you are video dude and not and real gun guy. That's cool. I am not mad at you for your like of comprehending.

@@somethingtactical steel don’t “run better” the felt recoil is less cause the added weight” and the tri Canik is 950$ which is what I paid for mine brand new. The rival has no cerakote the tti does (100$ish upgrade) the extra texture is wanted by like over 70% of comp shooters (this isn’t intended to be a competition gun) for 50$ more you get added texture aggressive dripping cerakote lightening slide cuts aesthetics and it a (ported barrel with a comp) literally a ported barrel and the first few moments of your video is don’t buy this gun. All you’ve gotta say is you don’t have Christmas money to afford this one also a steel frame is usually a 2-300$ add on……
