The only thing necessary for evil to succeed is for good men and women to idly sit by and do nothing. The answer is obvious. The ppl would rather live in fear. Stop fearing them and you've already won half the battle. Fear is their greatest weapon. Turn their greatest weapon against them.

@Devil's Logic Yes, and as you said rightfully our very inner biological nature is nothing to vilipend about, it's just the natural order of things, but some humans also experienced death while actually being alive, symbolically or metaphysically, and still didn't die in reality, so many things about this are still vulnerable to interpretations

Life doesn't end when you die; it ends when you give up. I read that some where and it's true. What Dr. Peterson says about getting older and weaker and withdrawing just takes away from your quality of life. His advice is so exact and based on knowledge.

Im a 21 yo woman, and very introverted, and this convinced me to go out more, and meet people, because it made me understand that my youth is going away, and soon, it will be a lot harder to make friends. Update, I got a boyfriend, serious and it’s been going on for a few months and I have a few new friends. Going out more, at cafes, or at the gym, made things a lot easier. For those who feel alone, it’s possible, don’t give up.

Like a dog chasing its own tail. Living in the light of hope is living in a limited way. True freedom does not require that you not be still so as not to feel anxious. True freedom comes from considering and accepting the potential fatality, which is different from fatalism. The possibility of the fatality comes after hope, it is said that hope is the last to die, not for us to hold on to it, but so that we know what is the last thing that should die. Hope must always die. What he is saying leads us to live a compulsive and blind perverse life, distorted by fear. Don't rush. You don't know what you want.

I am a very anxious and pessimistic person, after Graduation i was SOOOO afraid of getting a job ☹️ because i can't stand being rejected (i have been rejected many times in my life in different circumstances and i developed a Trauma). So... I just stayed stagnant... Doing the same things every single day...for the next 2 years (at least i know that the things i'm doing everyday won't hurt me). Then i realized that i was doing more harm than good to myself ☹️. I'm getting older and still jobless, I was becoming more sad and more miserable because i protected myself from the things that would help me grow, i also prevented myself from gaining experience 😔. I guess the saying *'RISKING IS BETTER THAN REGRETTING'* is true 😔.

I feel you! I recently graduated (December) with bs in bio and I was planning for med school then I figured i don't find myself there, and wanted to do engineering instead LOl that came literally a semester before graduation 😂 but it's okkk.. So when I graduated everyone was saying that this degree is hopeless (bio) and I was sooo afraid of not finding something better than my current job and was also afraid of getting rejected, :( And unfortunately I can't do anything w engineering atm cause I don't have the degree, so I was feeling very hopeless. Currently, I decided to enroll for post bacc and take the pre req in engineering for masters and meanwhile I switched to full timer at my current job( been there for over 2years) and trying to use my free time to learn all the skills needed for engineering God got a plan, and all I got is to be patient Best of luck for you:) Give it some time and do be afraid of change !!!

Three things: a crap job is a catalyst for a good job. Go serve coffee or drive Lyft, etc. it will show you that you can succeed and help you socialize. Anxiety is a primitive response to not having a “tribe” or social circle to keep you safe. Plus crap jobs are easy to get right now. Also, anxiety is often what happens to a brain too exposed to comfort. Look at the comfortable things or dopamine inducing things you do and start cutting them out little by little. Less sugar, caffeine, alcohol, sex, nicotine, etc. now, go get a six pack. Do the P90X ab routine. The effect it produces on your brain is shocking. It is the single most pain inducing exercise routine I’ve experienced. After you complete it, the pain induces a “runner’s high” like I’ve never felt before. If you do it in it’s entirety, you will literally feel like you just took drugs. No kidding. Plus, It rewires anxiety out of your neurology. Your brain must become more sensitive to dopamine to overcome the pain, which drastically reduces anxiety. Finally, stop saying negative things in your head. If you do that, your subconscious will think you’re going to die. Anxiety is the result.

This is 100% true, for the past 10 years I’ve been a landscaper, running my own business, during the winter I had at least 8 storms, even if small and it was enough to keep me moving…..getting prepared …. Maintenance, actually doing the storm …… billing, and in between I would take on small jobs. This last winter had ONE TWO inch snow storm…… I laid around very depressed… Met a girl who was very lazy, and laid in bed all the time, and I was right there with her, now come spring my body is failing… I’m in a massive state of depression and I’m stuck. Thank you Jordan Peterson.

Well Said. I used to be stuck in place. Partly due to severe depression etc. But ive decided that i Will pursue life to help those who might be stuck in the same dark place. Its what kept going & pushing onward. That and a feeling that something good Will happen if i just continue to turn the page day by day and keep on pushing forward even if i feel quite fearfull sometimes. For now the goal is to be able to get out into the working life properly & get some stability in my life. & more friends along the road but i guess we Will see what the world has in store for me. But by the time i go i hope ive atleast Done something good for those who is stuck in the same place. And for those who are There now. Keep going even if its painfull & hard. Things might be bad now but one day things Will light up. And remember that so long you still draw breath & is Alive you can still set things right in your life and turn it to the better. So long as you still live you still hold the power to change your life for the better. You may not feel like you have the strength for it but you do. You just gotta find it

@@succumbtosucculents8545 as for you. You should push onward. Only way out is through but if you just push one day at the time you Will get through it faster then you think. I would also suggest you put smaller daily goals for yourself. Just something to achive cause it Will give you a little extra boost plus something else to focus on for abit. Also a good idea to clean your room. Regardless if you live at home or alone. Might seem pointless but it does actually help. Primarily to think more clearly. Which makes it easier to sort out the dark shit in your head plus is also abit of a distraction. Just a few tips that helped me. But keep your chin up regardless. You have pushed this far undefeated so no sense in quitting now & letting it drag you down. You deserve better then that.

Kids don't like to be compared to others. But encouraging interaction and spending time with friends who are living positive lives is a good idea. It's tough to see your kids hesitant and not fully utilizing their skills even after college degree. Seeing parents who got their kids to a good place, it takes time and encouragement.

Cannot teach it, only gently guide, suggest. eg If they come home with an unsuitable partner to test you, invite them for lunch or to come away for the family weekend. Never ban them or criticise - the rebellious reaction will cement a long liaison that may have been only temporary if you'd kept cool. Opposition = extra determination.

It depends how you say it and how you do it. I don't know how you said it so I can't tell you, you did it wrong. In my case, I did not like to be compared. It makes you feel less or superior. My mother used to say to my sister: "look at your sister, she is better than you at school." It hurt both me and my sister. Plus it made her feel inferior to me and it brings jealousy. However I am sure that she was wishing what was best for my sister, and her intentions were to motivate her to study more.
